I can't believe some of you actually having the audacity to say we are "making up" bugs.. who the hell would do that? Maybe a mental patient or something but everyone else in the world has much better things to do.
I also can't believe that you guys are defending Obsidian/Bethesda in this situation. How are you okay with being sold a broken product? I don't understand it, I really don't. What if you never had internet/LIVE/PSN and couldn't get patches like a good chunk of the Fallout community? You would be stuck with a broken game forever.
People are not making these things up, they are well documented are EVERYWHERE. All over the net. Threads on Gamespot, IGN, Neoseeker, Official forums.. these same bugs are being reported EVERYWHERE.. it's blind ignorance to think people are making these things up to "troll"
It is our duty as fans of the Fallout series and as fans of Bethesda/Obsidian and the games they make to report these bugs and complain about them. If we didn't, they would think stuff like this is okay(They already do.. but more so) and they wouldn't ever fix anything.
Don't beat up the people who are trying to get the game you payed money for fixed faster.
Actually games I think tended over all to be better, from a bug point of view, before their was an internet. Now companies have the luxury of easily deploying a patch. So there isn't a lot of incentive there to get it perfect.
For the record as well GM knowingly shipped cars for nearly 20 years that were riddled with defects. They figured the dealers would the mistakes and correct them either before they were sold or when the twist tie broke loose and the customer brought it back in. I would link you to the interview where some former heads are talking (and occasionally laughing) about it, but it is late and I don't feel like digging it up. Point being, it isn't illegal to distribute a bad product, it is just a bad business practice. ...that is so long as we are limiting the definition of the word "bad." Obviously I can't sell chocolate shakes that will knowing kill you. Though oddly I suppose with the correct license I could sell cluster bombs...
Well you get the point.
Also those sites you mentioned...are pretty much hit by the same people, so it makes sense to see the same issues turning up.
A lot of reported problems I don't think are actually problems either. People tend to get bent out of shape over some screen stutter or bit of tearing. Even a freeze every now and then isn't a big deal really.
Regardless I'm not sure what good it actually does to complain on a forum at 2am company time.
Not defending a buggy product in this. But calm down.
You realize somebody right now is watching their dad have a heart attack, digging through a dump for food, or just watched their house burn to the ground.
Your anger and passion for justice would probably be better served aimed at a cause or issue outside of New Vegas.
Seriously...so many causes need passionate people.
