I want a refund

I dont see how this game can get fixed by updates.

Biggest let down EVER. I was excited for this game starting 2 years back. After 78 minutes of gameplay - i closed out and prob wont open it again. I cant even load campaign, just stuck on the loading screen.

Same here, I am asking Steam for a credit to Battlefield 3....

This is the biggest fail in the history of mankind.

I love how everyone is complaining about low FPS and how this game is "fail" However I can run it just fine... When your system just barely meets "required" stats... and you complain about low FPS... It just means it's time to get better hardware. However, I am pretty let down by the fact that there is no stereoscopic/ multi-monitor support. If Minecraft has damned Native Multimonitor support, there is NO EXCUSE why (the big guys) can not have FOV's set, and triple monitor resolutions supported. If you really want to make sure your customers are happy, please tidy up the resolutions... Also, for the cry babies that complain about the low FPS on there 4 generations back hardware... make games Scaleable... You know guys... like Oblivion... It was scalable... What's the excuse? Fallout 3 was scalable and supported 3 monitors... but then Vegas didn't... What's the deal?

I destroy the SysReg for this game, hell I don't even go by that half the time. GTA4? Run it maxed everything with no Anti's...

I am even running Windows 7 Test mode... which in layman terms. God mode.

i like how people assume we have bad hardware. i have crossfire 4890 which definitely should run no problem. i cant jump above 40 fps in solo mode or above 30 on internet

That svcks man.

But I kinda imagine that it would be problem with ATI cards, almost every game does..

Its already been posted by a fellow SD member - They are aware of the poor performance output revolving around AMD/ATI technology, and are currently working on fixes.

Give it a week guys - Things will be up and running smoothly soon.

I know that they are working on fixes, but I can't resists to say that after years of developing something like problems with ATI/AMD graphic cards only should have been visible in the quality testing, shouldn't it? *facepalm*

If you really want a refund then it should work if it is a physical copy. however if you bought it on steam things are a little tricky :/ i have seen people getting their money back in the form of store credit and it is pretty much it. steam is known for its non-refundable product ...there is a time where a game is refunded though since the minimum spec is wrong..but that was a few years back .Most of the time they just send you a email about unable to refund your payment and the game provider is working on a fix. and in this particular situation i am pretty sure splash damage is working on it. all we can do now is hav faith

What video cards are you using? ATI? or should i say FAILTI? This is a known issue with all ATI cards and they need a new release of drivers... this is not the fault of Bethesda or Splash Damage.... Get your facts straight. I run this game max settings, with no FPS or lag issues, no screen blurs or anything..... oh and i have Nvidia.....

I had my faith when the game was released, but my faith died when it said "Brink has stopped working" and then closes. I would VERY VERY much love a Steam credit. I can at least go get or wait for the pre-order of Battlefield 3. According to the fact's this game was NOT in a beta test and was moved up one week into release. Whoever had this grand idea needs to get punched in the face. I have seen MMORPG, hit the ground running HELL of alot better then this.

No issues at all here.. i7 SB 2600K running at 4.2 with a GTX 580 and 12 gigs of DDR3 1600. also runs perfectly on my i7 920 SLI GTX 460 system as well.
Played perfectly super fast super smooth played all modes this morning.

I think there are alot of people that don't take care of their computers out there..

this even runs fine on my POS i5 HP laptop with integrated graphics.

And you people want to get a credit for BF3? and your PC cant even run this well? you're going to be upset with Frostbite 2 then.. gonna be a system killer if you aren't up to date.

Runs just fine here..and my system isn't too amazing..shrug maybe you guys need to clean up HDD/defrag or something?

The biggest thing that lets me down is the lack of gamepad support. Ridiculous.

My junk is running the game great.
i5
8gb ddr3
9800GTX+ 512MB.

Yep, a 512MB card. I run this game like a champ. How about you guys look at your system tray and see if there's any unnecessary programs running. Or update all of your system drivers. Or, go get and nVidia card :D

It's not the system... it's the software. An you people is just me... If you know anything about computer's then you wouldn't just look straight at system spec's. Which I don't believe you did considering you jumped right into hardware only ID's.

I see a lot of ignorant posts like this; "My PC runs it just fine, your PC must svck". LOL.

Get a clue dude. A lot of people are running very similar specs to what you are and are having significant problems. I'm running an i7 920, a 5870, and 8GB of DDR3 and having some serious issues with FPS and connectivity.

Damn, I understand PC issues, yes, the game might be buggy on your system and I for one with an intel core duo 2.5, 4 gigs of ram and pny nvidia gts250 1 gig and running the game pretty well either in windowed 1600x900 or FS native 1920x1080 is crazy compared to some of your pretty sweet rigs.

Thing is, almost every game's day 1 launch is, and I stress IS going to have issues, granted it is pretty serious with the AMD/ATi issues regarding whatever setup you have and knowing that you really can't play what you just paid for until it is fixed, but don't forget, it is only a program. What we really need to be focused on is not the game or getting our refunds back because some monkeys who don't understand programming thinks they deserve a perfectly perfected program day 1, but lets see if SD sticks to their guns and fixes our issues and if/when they do, install and enjoy the game, sheesh. People amaze me sometimes.

So keep your britches on, see if you can get a temporary work around until the problems are resolved. If SD doesn't stick to their guns, don't buy another one of their products.

Again it's YOUR system.. as myself and others are NOT having the same issues as you..
I do this for a living for the last 25 years. longer than most of you have been alive I'd wager..
I know how to run and maintain my PCs and never have the issues that others seem to have on launch days.

over the years you'd be surprised of how many "bad ass PCs" I've been over to help a friend with that was having gaming issues only to find the so called uber systems were ill maintained and had crappy components or were "off the shelf " Dell or HP ready made systems. I've seen plenty of garbage i7 based systems..

As the other threads have figured out its an ATI problem in this case. that's why well cared for well build Nvidia based rigs are not having any issues.
the few that are are most likely user or user PC issues period.

Nice way to be an ass about people who have ATi cards built into their laptops. I have a massive problem with your attitude and all of the devoted fan nVidia users trolling on everyone here who uses an ATi card. For you guys, you think we're all massive idiots who know nothing about computers and whine all day about crap not working. We're not. I don't care how long you've been in the IT business, it doesn't give you the right to be a pompous ass about how we spend our money. For us users who do have ATi cards and meet or exceed the minimum requirements, we just want the game to work so we can have fun too.

We're on a forum about a game, let's remember that before you start ****ing on people for buying the wrong graphics card.

Freshly reformatted Win7x64 i5/GTS 360 system here crashing once I get into Brink, so his theory goes out the window. The fact of the matter is that there IS something not working as intended with Brink. I have faith that it will get fixed, but I will not go around pointing fingers at the consumer. Brink is nothing fancy - it should run on a host of systems, not pristine - bleeding edge systems. My system has been a rock for the last year playing any number of brand new games, ONLY Brink is causing problems.

I understand where you're coming from and thank you for not being aggressive about it. I do think this is a developer misstep and I believe that we're gonna get a patch within the next 24 hrs or so. Sorry to hear your game crashed tho, I just get an annoying blue tint over everything...

I was actually agreeing with you :) I should have stated that, and that I was mainly referring to the other people that are saying that it HAS to be our systems because THEY are graced with a functioning game since they are so much smarter than us (supposedly) :P
