Want to roleplay an Argonian...help? : V - Skyrim

When I think of Argonian, what pops into my head is guerilla warfare, duel-curved swords (maybe orcish or daedric) or daggers , illusion, and sneak. But I've never played an Argonian before, so.

that does sound pretty cool...never really tried any illusion spells, but be fun to start.

Heck, now that I think about it, the Hist probably aren't too keen on Alduin devouring the world and ending the current kalpa either. So tack stopping Alduin onto any idea and you have a reason to do the MQ.

thanks for the info...was never really familiar with the whole Hist thing...since I never played the other elder scrolls games. though I always thought an argonian should be the dragon born since he kinda looks like a little dragon

I role played one that was cut off from the Hist and was searching for some connection and found himself in Skyrim. Kinda stole the idea from Keyes when Mere-Glim was cut off from the Hist once Umbriel attacked.

I'm working on the Argonian Salamander build currently - so far I'm liking it. He does look like he's related to dragons, so that's why he's on a strict path doing the dragonborn quests only (mostly training for the job right now).

This. Apparently they are known for being some of, if not the best guerilla fighters in Tamriel. I normally play mine to be hit and run/ambush types, which in my opinion takes a nice spin on the setting, what with Nords and their honor in battle ect. Argonian's seem like the type of people who don't care if it's honorable or not in combat, as long as it's effective and gets the job done. So my skills are normally poured into light armor, archery, alchemy, sneak ect.

But more on topic, once I had a character that I figured was a bounty hunter. No houses, just sort of a drifter that took jobs to clear out bandits or brigands. Crossed the border into Skyrim at the wrong place/wrong time ect. There was some moral ambiguity, and since the character had no qualms in shooting targets in the back, or generally using dirty tactics to complete jobs, it was like sending the devil to do god's work.

Even though I've always played as an Argonian, I've never really given roleplay much of a thought with my characters but I have thought up a story even though I only gave it brief thoughts. I play a warrior/assassin combo (usually I say warrior/thief but now I think assassin would be a better word for how I play) and I'm not too picky on combat tactics either but it's the perks of the race in general along with their mysterious nature and physical appearance that drew me to play them back in Oblivion. I'm also not too much of a hardcoe gamer either so I don't have mods that specifically do that :shrug:

I might consider getting them one day though, just to see how I like it.

I've done a few of those bounty quests as well but I wasn't personally satisfied with the money reward.. it just seemed like too little for what some of the prices are, so much like in Oblivion I just sell the loot I get off of enemies that I don't need and it's gotten me some good money doing so.
