People always enjoy a good fable. M'aiq has yet to find one, though. Perhaps one day.

(that means no)

Dovakhiin: I'm off to work, kids. Have a good day at school.

Kid: Daddy/Mommy, what do you do for a living?

Dovakhiin: I'm a dragon hunter.

Kid: Can I come with you to work?

Dovakhiin: Well, bring your son/daughter to slaughter a dragon day is coming up a few weeks after your birthday. Tell you what, I'll buy you your own battleaxe for your birthday.

Kid: Thanks, Dad/Mom!

Dovakhiin: You don't turn five years old every day, now do you?

nice lol

It is fine if they can manage it without doing damage to other features, but it certainly is not required. Not at all. That is more a Fable thing, and it works for Fable, but I don't know how well it would translate here. If they are going to take any fable cues, I would much rather some form of couch co-op, than the ability to spawn a heap of mini mes.

no its not a fable thing there are other game with the ability to have kids why do people chosse the first dumb game that comes to mind
its like saying the idea of woodcuting mineing smithing come form runescape oh yes i said it im not comparing just proveing a point

Children belong in the game. It makes the world more believable but the ability to have children? no thanks.

Honestly, I have to say 'No' to this. I don't think it'd really add anything to the experience, and only take away from it (who really wants to have to stay in one place for the next several hours in-game to take care of a kid instead of adventuring? I don't mean to sound mean, but that sounds like a killjoy). However, I WOULD love it if they allowed you to have a romantic involvement in your game. In Oblivion, it kinda felt like there were no emotional attachments anywhere.

This isn't Fable, and it would absolutely go against lore in every way.

It would make roleplaying a certain type of character more responsible.
You could role play a farmer/worker,who has to provide for his family etc.

Responsible for what? Keeping your invulnerable child from being injured? The invulnerability takes care of that for you.

Children belong in the game. It makes the world more believable but the ability to have children? no thanks.

I still don't see how invulnerable children walking unscathed out of dragon attacks and any other dangerous situations makes anything any more believeable myself.

I don't know about having your own children in the game, but I like that there are children in the game world. Seems odd to me that with all the people walking around that there'd be no kids. I know this isn't Fable (and I don't want Elder Scrolls to be more like Fable), but I kind of like the idea of starting out as a child in the opening segment, maybe listening to a story told to you by your father about the Dragonborn. This wouldn't be an extended quest or anything but I do think it would add something to the roleplaying aspect.

Well, I hope the AI scripts will make them smart enough to take cover before the dragons hit the town. It would be really demoralizing to see their invulnerability in action.

They can stand up in fire like Dragonborn, and bring thats sword back to you, since after Orkey curse all Nord children's trained to be warriors like advlt Nords, did you already feel thats epicness and pathos :teehee: ?
But if they will run in fear thats will be much better I agree.

I would like the ability to have children in Skyrim, I personally think that it would add to the role play aspect of the game. I also think that you guys should forget about the invulnerability, because this is just a forum topic, we could just say that there is no invulnerability, therefore no complaints about it. I mean, if we just think that there won't be invulnerability, and there wasn't, it would be more realistic, and you would have to protect your family.
