The Enclave is not meant to be an almighty foe. It is supposed to be the very thing it's name is called. 'Enclave'. It's revival in F3 upset alot of the old fans, but considering the Enclave has been destroyed thrice in the past, and by young men or women no less, I think the Enclave should be little more than another dark stain upon Americas sordid past in the 200+ years since the war.

Well, it's for several reasons.

First, people are sick of seeing the Enclave, it seems. Just as they're sick of seeing the BoS.

Second, where did the Enclave get their personnel? According to the established lore, within 30 years or so, the Enclave lost a MASSIVE amount of their forces between the Oil Rig's destruction, and the twice-over defeat on the East Coast (with Eden ordering *all* Active Enclave Personnel to DC/Raven Rock.) Since they don't hire from outside their orginization, they have no real way of quickly regaining their strength when (presumably) 90% of all active personnel are KIA (and don't tell me that they didn't lose most of their active personnel between Project Purity/Liberty Prime and Adams AFB when their crawler was orbital bombarded to death.)

Pretty much what I was going to say.

Let them die already.

You can only kill something so many times and bring it back before it just starts to get cartoonish, and that exactly what bringing the Enclave back again would be. Seriously why does everyone want to keep bringing the Enclave back everytime you turn around, they're not that great of a faction for crying out loud.

Reason, we killed them three times, and it is generally a bad policy to retcon the victory of the player in past games.

the enclave are awesome and one big reason to bring them back is to fight with them not against.

No. We've gone over this before plenty of times. Please re-read these two threads to get the full argument and counterargument and lets not start up another "Enclave coming back???" thread.

Why would they fight with a mutant?

The only way I want to see the Enclave back is as a minor faction, like the Khans. Stripped of most of their power, scrabbling for survival in a world that is too big, too hostile, and all too aware of them. Maybe a small force of them rallying together to raid something, hoping it will give them the edge they need (and probably racing the BoS to it).

Really, now, they should be reduced to being either absolutely nothing, or an evil version of the BoS. And I mean evil compared to the Western BoS...the one that doesn't care if you live or die. But at least they don't see you, scream 'Kill the mutie' and open fire just because you're not one of them.

How about the Talon Company?

Don't get me started on the subject. Talon Company should come back, and if you want reasons, feel free to look up my post(s) on the subject.

There are other groups to see the spotlight and other stories to be told. Let the ghosts of the past be that: ghosts. I would not mind seeing a group similar in power to the Enclave or BoS, but let us move on and let them RIP.

The Enclave isn't like Team Rocket, they shouldn't come back every time you blow them away.

If the Enclave comes back, they'll need to open a few Control Vaults, and do some recruiting/brainwashing. And each of those, if memory serves, will get them a maximum of 1000 people. They'll also have to launch a program like 'One free plasma rifle for every baby you have, and a year's supply of ammo if the baby enlists in the military when old enough.' And they'll need a minimum of 20 years, likely more like 40-60 before they can be viable as anything more than skirmishers.

They're in the same situation as the Western BoS, except they're even more disliked and xenophobic.

Yeah because everyone in the Enclave is a soldier right?

Well in the West if you go by the loading quotes and what the Remnants say then they have been largely forgotten, with maybe only some of the older people are that Followers guy who clearly specialises in pre-war tech recognises Enclave gear.

We know they might be in Chicago, so are you happy OP?

Lore wise and logic they should be a small remnant group there. An outpost built by remnants from Navarro on their way to DC. Other wise the Enclave are done as anything more then remnants.

Interesting bit here. Chicago is also where the http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLkBoOmCRWI started their originization after they were cast out of the original knowledge hoarding BoS. They have been there for 80 years or more and one of the endings to Tactics they become a http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2ZcpcO7C58 that rounds up and kills mutations and human sympathisers. Maybe the Enclave encountered this Brotherhood and now work together :shifty:

@The Enclave: I have to get the word out. I know I have become predictable.
