You know, the old Earth Wind and Fire song, So do you think it is (Hypothetically) possible to bring about a peacefule resolution to the Mojave?

There is for the NCR quest line for sure, talk the Legion Leader into giving up the fight for the Damn. Also you can also just unplug Mr.House insted of killing him, unless they changed that. Last time I saw House I could not get out unless I killed him. I think the only one that forces you to kill the BoS is Mr.House.

I think you're missing the point. what I'm asking is: do you think there is a peaceful resolution for all factions without a massive battle? Is it possible for NCR, Mr. House, and the Legion to coexist peacefully?

Peace is dumb to pray for. There's to much to fight over. It's life. We'll all fall at one point, and the stronger person DOES win. That's just how it is.

Guns are very good at silencing those that will not side with you. Can't agrue with someone that is dead. People will always fight. Sad but true. Civilization is just a thin veneer, under it is chaos. Humans are social animals but it is mostly because there is safety in numbers. Does not matter what the subject is or the problem, man will always fight over it. There will always be people that think "might is right."

So far nuclear weapons seem to be the only reason why we have not had another world war. If we did it would be the last world war at least not for thouands of years and if there are human survivors left to rebuild the world.

Fallout 3's intro sums it up nice.

"War. War never changes, since the dawn of human kind when our ancestors first discovered the killing power of rock and bone, blood has been spilled in the name of everything from God to justice to simple psychotic rage. In the year 2077 after millennia of armed conflict the destructive nature of man could sustain itself no longer."

Si vis pacem, para bellum.

Why would we want peace? The views each factions have are radically different, it would be foolish to place them in the same room. The Legion wants the Mojave to advance further West, and to make the Strip the Legion's home, NCR wants the Dam for their own wants, and House wants nothing to do with this. Good luck getting them to live together!

There is a saying for this, I believe it is" There isn't room for the both of us"

Mr. House is the closest you can get. He always offers people the "play by my rules or leave New Vegas" line, it's just that some refuse to play by those rules. That's debateable of course as to whether or not that's peaceful, but what I mean is House is willing to offer a peaceful solution, whereas the NCR and the Legion will say "no **** that, we're gonna fight." Not his fault people decline the peaceful solution. Of course, you -have- to kill the BoS for Mr. House, but let's be honest: those dudes would be killing like crazy if they weren't kept in check.

But hey, you could also say Yes-man is the most peaceful. You only have to kill Mr. House. Actually, is it possible to attend a Hoover dam fight with Yes-man where both the Legion AND the NCR are peaceful towards you?

In other words, no. There is no peaceful solution, just some endings are more peaceful than others.

Edwin Starr said war is good for "absolutely nothing" I'd have to disagree, war helps keep the savages away.

Sadly no, because CL are kind of guys who put big sign that says "We are bunch of douch-bags those act evil just to be evil ass-heads" on their forehead and they live by that sign. I can take Enclave seriously because they ARE threatening force. For CL, I just cannot take them seriously.

Remember, Caesar's Legion has everything to lose if they don't take over the Mojave. Las Vegas is the only technologically capable(Denver was probably nuked really badly which is why Caesar came all the way to the Mojave) region Caesar has a chance at acquiring. As for the NCR, they want to take over the Mojave, also for Las Vegas and Hoover Dam. Mr. House wants to preserve Vegas the way it is.

The only real way to stop the three warring factions is to blow up Vegas and Hoover Dam. Then nobody would want to stick around.

They was a threatening force, until they got they butt kicked 3 times, then they got in decay fullstop
I take Legion over a overuse faction like the Enclave any day

As for the OP, no there is no a pacific solution to the war, House is the most fair thing that you can choose thought

"War, Nobby. Huh! What is it good for?" he said.

"Dunno, Sarge. Freeing slaves, maybe?"

"Absol--well, okay."

"Defending yourself against a totalitarian agressor?"

"All right, I'll grant you that, but--"

"Saving civilization from a horde of--"

"It doesn't do any good in the long run is what I'm saying, Nobby, if you'd
listen for five seconds together," said Fred Colon sharply.

"Yeah, but in the long run, what does, Sarge?"

Yes make 3 characters back pack House NCR and cl to just before the battle, and throw the game away. Then just tell you self they were all friends and talked it out at the dam.

You have to pretend what really happened in nv anyway, so might as well pretend a big episode of Barney happened at the dam.

Actually I think there is an ending like the one this person wants..

Elijahs ending... He basically uses the Sierra Madre to curbstomp everyone and take over the world, without a huge battle lol.

Wait that [censored] could live? [censored] here I though I knew he was dead, or was trapped in the Madre vault.

Who in their right mind would not kill a man who gases them, put an explosive collar on them, and made them run through toxic clouds and ghost people?

Dam Obsidian and their 75 endings.

I heard his plan, and I told him I d do what ever he said, then I hid in the vault a blew him away like the deranged bastard he was............twice.

So now there can be 5 endings to nv? OMG!!!!!!!! HELP ME!!!!!!

Im going to pretend I never read your post. I was happy thinking he was dead, but no he could still be alive, and he and possibly the bos could be in control of nv.

His plan did sound good, but it was really far fetche

A bullet to the head does it even better. The only thing to do is not giave a damn about what you're enemy says...just kill him.

A bullet to the head requires you to kill all or most of an enemy. A word that gets them to stop fighting at all is far more efficient.

Anyway, there is a peaceful way to end the Mojave conflict. You can do it in a House/Yes Man playthrough. Convince Oliver that an independent/House Vegas is better for everybody, and convince Lanius that his campaign is doomed, and there you go.

Do you have any idea how many stimpaks you'd need to run past ALL of those forces?
