So this is an idea I came up with while playing Dragon Age Origins and I thought I would actually bring the idea to life....so here is the idea?

Race Wars : War of The Races! (Name in progress sugestions?)

3E 450

When the Oblivion Crisis took place Tamriel was left with no Emperor so a man named Zeno Surus took control of Tamriel and was officially Emperor, but people did not know his dark, dark secret until he became 3E 440 when he made humans the superior race of all Tamriel and those who were not human were put into slavery and if they rejected they would be executed or jailed. Over the next ten years Zeno had humans as the top race but of course some of those who were not human objected to this and began to call themselves "The Freedom Fighters". The Freedom Fighters were large in numbers and they accepted humans to join there rebellion but only the humans who did not believe in the Emperors new rule. People from all over Tamriel came to Cyrodiil to take the Emperor out of power once and for all to free the non humans of Tamriel from this evil man.

In this RP you would be able to be part of the Freedom Fighters or part of the Emperor's side....

What do you men by "humans"? Imperials alone? Or Imperials, Nords, Redguards and Breton (to an extent)? Because I consider all four of those races "human" and I'm sure many other would as well, and since humans do not exist in Tamriel perhaps you should clear that up ^_^

I do like this idea Josh, the only thing being that it's a little rough around the edges.

It has potential, but like fang said, more detail. I'd probably have a go at it with some more hashed out angles taken care of.

Where will we be? As you seemed to have left out a specific location. There are a few questions you should ask yourself about the rp you are trying to make, in order to make sure nearly everything is covered. This way there can't be any confusion.

Other than a few grammar and spelling errors I'd say it looks like a pretty good idea.

Well depending on what side you pick you will be in the Imperial City Palace with the Emporer or you will be in the Heartlands forest and this is just a rough draft everyone!

First thing's first, add in much much more detail. Give the Fighters a leader, tell us exactly how they started and where. Give more details about this new emperor, it feels like he dropped out of the sky.

Next, the lore angle: the races of Cyrodiil aren't like everywhere else. The Argonian's and Khajiit are the "slave races", the Dunmer are the slavers, the Altmer don't do much but magic, the Bretons and Redgaurds have their knightly orders and respective governments, and the Nords are up doing their thing in Skyrim. If the Empire made anyone the superior race, it would be just the Imperials, and they would most likely persecute the beast races and to a lesser extent the Altmer and Bosmer. Think of Hitler and how he tried to put the Germans on top, while persecuting the "indesirables". The other countries would most likely team up against the Empire, with the probable exception of Morrowind and maybe Skyrim.

So, make it a political RP, with these Freedom Fighters guerilla fighters inside Cyrodiil trying to save the beast races and the non-Dunmer elves, while commiting terrorist operations on the government. Meanwhile, High Rock, Hammerfell, Elsweyr, Argonia, and the Summerset Isles are attacking from the outside in more organized armies. My advice is to either control the other countries yourself, or let experienced RPers take care of just the leaders, with all your other players agents in these Freedom Fighters. So, have each of the countries (including the "evil" ones) controlled by one (or two) people, depending on how many players you get.

To me though (just my opinion) the elves would be the ones to do something like that, and they also enslaved the goblins.

To be perfectly (and painfully) blunt with you, I don't think you have what it takes to make it a Fanfic, an RP? Possibly, though I doubt it.

He was the guy, who just put it very blunt. And you do have a record of not keeping up with Rp's or FanFics, Josh. So don't get all offended when someone just puts it to you bluntly.

Maybe he saw your track record of Fan Fics and RPs? I dunno, I can't speak for the guy. I was just saying, he told you bluntly, that you might not be up for doing an RP or FanFic. I know that's what i've heard but I can do it and if that guy is not offering and help then he does not have to post he is just saying you cant do it.

Your bet your sweet ass this isn't the fallout fanfic forum. Listen Josh, you just have to set your mind on putting some depth into your characters and stories. If you don't feel you can succeed alone simply ask for help. Anyone on the TES forum will help you. These guys telling you you aren't up for it not only have no place on these forums, but they're spitting flame-bait like a redneck spits tobacco. Who wouldn't take offense to these comments? It's ok to be blunt as far as criticism goes, but your basically telling the man he can't succeed. Look man, if the Wright brothers can do something as sophisticated as building a half-decent airplane, I'm sure Josh-gro-Grahz can make a successful rp or fanfic. I'm not going to lie, when Zalphon came over here from the Fallout forums I thought he was hopeless. But instead of putting him down I backed him up. And many others as well. And now it's safe to say his fanfic is deep and riveting.

I always though your stories were a little dry Josh. But that's nothing that can't be changed. If you can focus on grammar, punctuation, and spacing your stories out some, you wouldn't be far from a nice start. In fact, if you EVER need help with anything as far as rp's, fanfics, or just some morale lifting, please PM me. I'm usually always on. I don't mind helping.

I believe that falls out of the realm of constructive criticism, man. Please don't ever tell someone that they can't run an RP. With help, anyone can be a good host. Equally, I'm glad you didn't make any worse retorts, but next time don't say anything. Just contact a mod if you think someone is beign rude.


Anyway, back on topic, what did you think of my ideas? If you want more help I'm more than willing to, and as Dren said many others would be as well. That is, if you want our aid, you don't have to or anything. I can even go so far as to somewhat co-host this if you'd like. Just putting the offer out there, I won't be offended if you say no.

I have a feeling this one will work out I for one will do my best to see it through. The only thing that's going to sink this is lack of participation by the players or no one signing up, and that's nothing to be ashamed of. Some great RPs have been lost that way But I have confidence in this one!

As to your reply to my ideas, I only said the Dunmer would be allied with the Empire for a few reasons:

They are already in control of the slave trade with the Argonians and Khajiit, and have decent ties with Cyrodiil, especially if you said the Nerevarine or whoever is in charge of Morrowind is pro-Imperial rule.

Skyrim would probably join up with Cyrodiil too, if nothing else than because they don't much like High Rock and Hammerfell (not to mention the Septims were mostly from Skyrim). Perhaps they will betray the alliance and attack Morrowind, who knows? If we were going with the WWII anology again, they could be Italy (no offense to my Italian friends )

So the Nords and Dunmer allied with the Empire of Tamriel? I like it....but there would still be Nords and Dunmers who would join the rebelion

Yes well I am thinking of TES as a whole new clean slate for me, I screwed up in the Fallout section and I hate myself for that so now I hope to bring my rep back up with the hard core TES'ers and now that Lord Dren and Darkom are helping me with it I see no reason why this would fail so yes I will stick with it, I know I have said it before but I think this time i can do it, no WILL do it>!
