Warlock Mod

After playing through Neverwinter Nights 2, I fell in love with the Warlock class, the idea of playing a dark hero has always appealed to me, so using dark powers to fight evil was incredibly fun. I came back to oblivion after quite some time and thought I'd give a warlock like character a go, but after playing for a few hours last night it just felt lacking. Shooting fire, lightning, ice is fun, but Eldritch Blasts just look so much cooler. And summoning daedra/dremora is a nice bonus, but again it felt lacking.

I play with Midas Magic, and there is Eldritch Blasts in there so I will probably settle with those, but the whole dealing with and summoning demons to aid you just isn't here in oblivion. I have been reading through some of the lore on the wiki and it doesn't look like Dremora make "deals" with humans or anything of the sort, but was curious just how far fetched would that be? I don't wanna mess around too much with the Daedra Lords, but I would assume one of them would have to be where you got your power from.

There are plenty of books in oblivion that talk about mages researching the Daedra and Dremora, or summoning them purely to interview, so I figured why couldn't the player do that? And perhaps be given some powers from either the Daedra or Dremora.

Was curious on what you guys thought of it all. And if it would make a good mod, open for any suggestions I am just brainstorming right now.

Sorry if its hard to comprehend, I just kinda rambled on.

You could try http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=20736. It enables you to make "deals" with daedric lords in exchange for power. Unfortunately, it only has powers for two of them as opposed to five of the gods (go fig).

Also note that Daedra are more "chaotic" than "evil". Daedra, don't really have any set good/evil/neutral distinction, they choose it just like people. Integration: The Stranded Light has some Daedra that you do about 60 quests for (20 or so additional quests given by non-daedra), and they assist you in return. You can even form a very very very close bondto one, but.... most ofthem are pretty nice, so it doesn't really have that feeling of using evil to fight evil.

Malevolent kind of has a powerful, selfish somewhat evil armor controling you.

Trying to think of others uhhhh.... most mods make it pretty black and white sadly :(. holy powers to do good, evil stuff to do evil..... Maybe Moriarcis? but it's kind of buggy.

EDIT:
Lost Spires has Warlock robes/staffs (black robeswith blue runes all over), and you do loot stuff off of generic evil enemies, but beyond the name of the robes/staff... it's pretty much the same as looting daederic armor off of Dremora... you do cleanse a sword that was cursed though....

Thanks for the replies, I think I will have to make my own mod, though not entirely sure how I will bring it into oblivion while still keeping as close to lore as possible. Oh well I will figure something out.
