Warning - don′t read the Steam forum!

It′s been invaded by spoiler trolls. Even the thread titles will ruin your day. Bastards!

This forum is like Ba-Sing-Se, the non-corrupted version: the only safe haven left for those of us who want to play the game without being spoiled. o__O

Thanks for the warning. I know that steam forums is not the most trust worthy place to look for seriousness and facts, but I could still have gone there just to peek.

Thx for the heads up, despite my excited state, i have been holding myself away from anny sites know to spoil games like reddit, steam forums and particular gamesite (yes, looking at you GameTrailers, even though you are pretty useless nowadays)

I used to go hunting for like every bit of news around, but just like the leaked 12 map run and other leaked media, i have avoided that this year around like the plague. Dont want anything spoiled before i play it myself.

I've been avoiding everything except here, and bam! I watched the official trailer and it has spoilers.

Thanks for the warning! I am also staying away from anything that could spoil going into the game with a fresh sense of adventure. I want to explore the game on my terms, without any per-conceived notions. :) I did study the perk chart, so I know already what kind of character I will create, but story-wise, I haven't looked at anything expect the official trailers. The new trailer hinted at some intriguing things, but I don't really consider that a spoiler. I guess we all knew that the Institute would play a role in this game. :)

Don't go to ANY gaming forums. Trust me. Even this forum has its risks.

Yeah, if you want to stay safe, go offline.

But if that plot twist is actually true... DRAMA! :hehe:
Though i doubt it.

Just stating the mere existence of a twist is a bit of a spoiler.

The thing I've enjoyed the most about this pre-release hype train is that there has been little said and nearly no spoilers. So much nicer than previous releases when we knew far too much and speculated, twisted and rewrote every single thing we were told.

So no, I won't be going to Steam or anywhere else to read all about it. In fact when someone links to leaked footage I stay there just barely long enough to ensure that yes indeed it's leaked footage and watch no more. It really ticks me off to have to go there at all. So while early on I could have watched game play, I refused. It made it rather enjoyable to warn or ban folks that linked it. And I generally never, ever enjoy that aspect of being a moderator here.

I more enjoy helping folks once the game is out to enjoy their game more.

I'm in hopes we can keep it rather spoiler free (at least keep spoiler threads labeled) for those who want to experience the game for themselves instead of through someone else's playing style.

^This pretty much.

Finding information on Steam forums is a nightmare and threads have a tendency to spiral into and ever descending den of chaos pain and despair when two people don't immediately agree on something.

I solve this problem by never going to the Steam forums. I didn't even know Steam had forums until about a year ago.

Bethesda better watch out because I could be wrong but there was someone posting a thread a few minutes ago about several endings which I thought he/she was trolling(or perhaps not) Anyways, that thread was taken down. I won't be surprised if this forum becomes a magnet for trolls for these few days. If I were Beth, I would play it safe and cancel only for these few days any member entries.
