Warrior/Blade Roleplay Help

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 5:48 am

Hi all!

Oblivion has to be my favourite all time game for my PS3, and I am just starting a new game. I'm going to attempt to roleplay a lone warrior, who helps anyone he feels worthy of the help. He will train by completing various quests and doing things (unsure what...) until he has reached a level where I deem him good enough to join the Blades.

This is where my problem is. I don't really know what to do...

I mean, can anyone reccommend some quests that would fit in nicely with this sort of character, or suggest some things to do (places to go and kill some hard stuff).

Also, when I'm a Blade, what should I do?

I have Shivering Isles and KOTN, so feel free to suggest ideas.

Cheers!

Lone warrior, huh? I guess Fighters Guild isn′t for him then as it involves others, otherwise that′s a good idea. Finding Nirnroots for an alchemist or finding out who′s the thief at a castle isn′t stuff a warrior should do. KoTN is more for noble knights imo, but maybe you should consider Shivering Isles as there are many opportunities for a warrior there. Also the Arena, that′s my main suggestion for your character. Good training in one on one battles will strengthen him before joining the Blades.
Once he′s done that the heavy RP comes into play. Staying at Cloud Ruler, fighting off monsters threatening Cyrodiil and gathering supplies for the temple are some of the stuff he could do.

But of course, it′s all up to you two :)

I think I'll do a few Fighters Guild Quests, but not get too far into it. I'll definately do some of the arena, and explore the shivering isles.

Any other ideas?

Here's a little idea I posted somewhere else but can't remember where :
You want to be a Blade, so prove your devotion. Start at Weynon Priory, with nothing but an unenchanted robe and some cheap shoes, and one weapon from Jauffre's chest. Without fast travel, and only using healing magic, do a pilgrimage to one of each Wayshrines. When you have completed this, with the power, return to the Priory, and you can now consider yourself a member of the Order of Talos.

My character isn't really that sort of character. It's more like he started off as a 'badass' (not very good word to describe him, a bit too strong, but you get the idea) warrior, then as he becomes stronger, he finds out that his power and strength could be put to better use, so he joins the Blades.

I don't want him to commit crimes, but he's the kind of guy to get into brawls and fights (arena).

Any ideas of what I could do (e.g quests/places to explore)?
