warrior mage or wizard

from what i have read when you level up you are presented with in fact 3 choices of attributes to choose from, a red bar for strength, a yellow bar for stamina, or blue for magic, so you are in fact choosing your class every time you level up, this is very straight forward with some variations depending on perks you choose example 1hnd, dual wield, 2 handed or sword/shield or you can split skills and diminish your class

there can be little to no split classes because if i want to play a battle mage despite having leveled destruction to 100 by constantly using it you have had to choose, magic 90% of the time you leveled keeping your mana pool very high having to negate strength to use any spell worth using, unless of course we still get to pick our main traits that level us, in which case still would greatly diminish functionality of your class since perks and talent trees benefits greatly increase the higher you go so you cannot afford to branch off

this has always been one of my downsides for oblivion i could level swords to 100 but have no strength, this is most disappointing because if i want to use powerful magic later i must negate all fighting attributes

i guess the solution is to just play a pure mage, and replay as pure warrior and get full benefits of both worlds, [censored] play rouge too, theres really one 3 classes with some minor variations basically weapon type, and thankfully magic type, not knocking the game its by far the most advanced of its time beth rules, it would be kind of cool to get a random talent point for higher talent tree branches every tenth level or after we hit 50 just to utilize, i guess since the're 220 perks (73 per class?) and we get 75 talent point we can barely maximize a tree. that would be cool atleast you would feel very powerful.

Red is for health, just like always. Don't know where you got strength.

Edit: Never mind, your second post explained where that came from.

I've read to increase emcumburance you need to select stamina. That's about as close to picking "strength" as you can get for Skyrim. Health is basically Endurance in my mind and Intelligence is basically Magika.

For me personally I'll probably do 1/2 Health, 1/2 Stamina, but it might end up being more like 2/3 Health, 1/3 Stamina. All depends on what works better for an assassin type.

I'm not sure what you mean you will choose. A pure mage of course will have the full benefit of emphasizing magic. A battle mage would be weaker than a pure warrior because they also have to keep their magic skills effective.

So..?
