guess its fianly time i stop dragging my feet on this. and a couple weeks ago i got a request to release my work on it. however going back and taking a look at the Xena armor i realized that i just wasnt happy with it.

however due to the amount of work im putting into the textures im un decided if im going to release it as an actual esp or just supply the meshes and textures and let ppl do what they want with them . but however i decide to do it they will be out there.
for anyone who had seen the previous shots of gabs clothing id done im planing on reviewing all of those as well and if any improvements can be made i will certainly do my best to make sure what ever i relase is the best i can do ( at least at this time with current knowledge )

Nice to see you around! :wave: Looks good, I like the new studs on the skirt and what you did with the waist area in particular. The colors look great as well; a little more realistic, IMHO. I'm glad you didn't give up on this, I too am still looking forward to the release!

yes i am sorry for not stating this in the first post. it is for better bodies. as there is already a xena outfit available to those who use stock bodies.

for the majority of my work i utalize Clothing mesh collection for Better Bodies

thank you Lyssia the skirt actualy turned out better then i thought it was going to . and does have a leather texture overlay pattern to it which is hard to see in nifscope but hopefully will make a differance in game. in all of the photos of her outfit i could find, the leather bodice had a different texture then the skirt did so i tried to refelct this and keep it as accurate as possible.

there have at it . its my entire gab and xena mod scrapbook section in photobucket only 2 of the items wont be able to be released gabs sandles shes wearing and the mesh to the BITB back in the bottle episode. as i would have to get permission from the ppl who created those meshes. lucy lawless was pregnant in those episodes so id have to stick that texture on a non preg mesh

and i have to give credit where it due and we can all thank Plangkye for putting sais onto the boots for me. take care all

There is also already a better bodies version of xena's outfit. Well, the original black leather one that is. It's made by CanadianIce and is an add-on for the Metal Queen Boutique. It's called Amazon Princess armor.
But i like your mod also so far and the idea to do also gabrielle and several outfits is a good one. You will be the first one then to also come with other outfits and ones from xena's sidekick.
I don't know if you plan only to release the black outfit or also the several other pieces you've made (and which are showed in your photobucket album), but it would be great to also release the rest.

dont forget callistos armor as well which is part of that. and thanks to that its one i wont have to make

yes im quite aware of this outfit as well and i also have it. and love it for what it is ( her warlord armor ) though she wasnt ever really shown wearing it in the xena sceries unless it was a flash back and im aiming more at the sceries look . and yes ofc i couldnt just release xenas black leathers and not also release outfits for gabrielle so as soon as ive had a chance to go over those as well. they will also get released. its not just the 2 of them im going to make outfits for however i plan on doing the clothing ares wore as well as others as long as i can find the proper resources to and permission to use them . im not sure yet if i will make xenas brown leathers or not this is quite time consuming as i pour over hundreds of source photos to create my textures. if the mood hits me i make it that pretty much sums it up haha. im trying to capture a bit from all the seasons. as its actually for a different project im working on. i will release any of my larger project which i am in my rights to distribute. and ppl will be able to use what ever i make however they wish.

yes the episode was called been there done that. one of my faves too. as for herc not sure he was only in a couple episodes. but i was considering autolycus id only planed on doing outfits for as many of the chars that id planned on making faces for.but well see however i suppose if somene had a particular request and i have a high enough rez resource photo to go on anything is possible. ppl can always ask .

The side of the bodice area (which I always find difficult is near perfect) and you lined the shoulder straps up seamlessly

It was great to have a look at the texture in nifskope and in Irfanview - you obviously spent some time digitally stitching it together

I felt inspired to go back and redo some of my clothes

Hope you make some more outfits as your quality is just so very high

THANK you all sooooo much you really dont know how much this means to me. yes i did put alot of hard work into that imbarrased to say it took me over 2 weeks to do from start to finish. as for the uv mapping i take care to watch for that and adjust the uv maps when necessary. i should probably mention that in my read mes so that ppl do not use the meshes for other work as most have been altered just a bit to make them line up right.

i just started redoing gabrielles 6th season red velvet hero outfit last night. so that will be my next release

and who knows perhaps someday some talented modder who can moddle will see this and make pauldrons for her. otherwise thats going to have to wait till i learn how to do that too. haha .

i was so imspired by the nice comments and many downloads already that it gave me the incentive to get right to work on gabs 6th season outfit instead of taking a break
so im asking for opinions on if im making a good enough improvemnt to keep going on with this one or release the old version .
i tried to accomplish 3 things

1 sharpen the detail especially in the belt area
2 make it have less of the cut paste flip mirrored look to it
3 include the proper number of fasteners to the skirt sections to the front and back and make sure they are positioned correctly according to how the outfit appears in the show.

All of those images are fantastic! I am so waiting in anticipation for the finished result. Please let the seller of the outift not be dependent on a specific head replacer. That's what ruined my wanting the very Conan style fur armor for women, and the Noldor Elves Legolas armor. I can't run Better Heads without losing a ton of other mods I enjoy, and I wanted that female fur armor.

Fabulous work there! I own a ton of Xena episodes on my Zune, and never tire of watching them.

Well Eirik, you could always change the head in the CS if it bothers you too much. It's one of the simplest thing's that can be done in the CS, but if you need any pointers you could always stop by the Construction Set forum

as its a resource it wont be dependant on anything that you dont want it to be. i only release the meshes textures icons and ground mesh. any and all of which your free to change if you so wish.

Krovosos eh why not release it as a resource let the ppl have fun with it after all its what its all about. and since i wont be able to relase the mod that iim making all the stuff for. you all will get what i can release as a resource. so enjoy .

New skirt looks good to me, but I can't honestly tell too much of a difference apart from width.
