"Warriors Pact" vs "Marriage Only"

Post » Thu Feb 20, 2014 8:33 am

As we know, if the Imperial Version of the game is purchased you receive the ability to engage in "Marriage" ceremony which results in gaining an in-game Experience gained bonus of 10%. (Which I completely agree with) But what about those of us who want to venture into the world with a good friend rather than a spouse? What if we prefer that the wives (or husbands) stay home with the children while we brothers in arms quest together? I have a good friend that I play MMO's with, and tho I am not against the ability to have same six marriage in game, I do not want to participate in such an event, but as I am paying for the Imperial version, I certainly should be able to enjoy the benefits of this edition whether my questing partner is a spouse or a brother in arms. I'm not asking for any change in the ability to get married, but only the simple addition of a option that allows two friends to agree to a "Pact" rather than marriage, /emote "Warriors Handshake" and presto - you now will experience a 10% Experience gain bonus while questing with John Doe.

No I really like the idea of power-gaming bro-dudes getting married in order to get the bonus LOL.

It is not only in the imperial version. It's in the game already without the CE.

Can't you just give it as a friendship ring rather than marriage?

Just got the regular download for my wife and myself, so guess we'll not be able to get married in-game. :/

I agree - there should be a sort-of 'friendship pact' (though a less lame sounding thing, like the Undaunted chant you get when you join, and calling it a warriors pact like you suggested)

If I give jewelry to my friend I could do it without asking for marriage :o
