Finally, my sheet is done! Sorry for the length, but I can't seem to help it :/. Anyway, I hope it makes sense; please tell me if it doesn't.
Name: Robert Veric
Nickname: Robert
Race: Breton
Gender: Male
Age: 35
Birthsign: The Steed
Class: Farmer/ Field Worker
Class Description: As a farmer and field worker, Robert has had to work very hard throughout his life. He is used to boiling heat and rough jobs, and has developed rough hands and strong arms due to them. On a more mental side, Robert has learnt to always keep at a job no matter what, and developed a hardy resistance against mundane tasks whilst also gaining patience.
Alongside that, Robert would occasionally train his swordsmanship. However, his skills are nothing special and the training was more of a hobby to stop becoming bored to death.
Despite the living in a trading village, Robert has never dealt with the merchants and keeps strictly to the fields.
Skills: Hand-to-Hand, Loyalty, Short Blade (I use that loosely), Un-armoured.
Robert's 'skills' generally lay outside of the combat department. He is one of the most determined people you will ever meet as always wants to get the job done. Also, he's a very friendly chap, never looking for fights or arguments, but making new friends.
Nevertheless, Robert is not completely useless in combat- his father taught him how to box (fist fight) from a young age and Veric still remembers the techniques. Of course, he refrains from using it as much as he can.
Weaknesses: Robert's main weakness physically is his inability to fight properly (except from his boxing moves) against anything remotely tough. He is quite strong and has a lot of willpower but couldn't hit a tree with a sword that's two feet in front of him.
What makes this worse is Robert's optimism for almost anything. It is both a strength and a weakness but he seriously believes it would be possible for him to kill a minotaur if he 'tried his very best'. It may boost the morale of those around him, but it'll likely end in his death one day.
The optimism factor could possible be categorized under Robert's other weakness: his general stupidity. Calling him stupid may seem a little blunt or harsh, but he is rather mentally challenged. He can't read or write, it's difficult for him to make a decision on anything, and he just doesn't think about his actions. He isn't a bumbling idiot who can't even speak coherently, but he isn't exactly clever, either.
Another weakness Robert has if his thin patience for other people. Yes, he can tolerate nearly any manual job, but simply cannot stand narrow-minded, arrogant and selfish people; ironically calling them idiots. If someone says something that he believes is out of line then they will likely get a piece of Robert's mind. He just wants everyone to get along.
Weapons: As a grower of crops and puller of weeds, Robert sees little use for weapons. Nonetheless, living in the harsh rural areas of Cyrodiil provokes the need for arms.
Robert's primary weapon is his rough and robust fists- boxing is the only combat he knows and if he were ever to get in a brawl, he'd hope to only knock the enemy out with the minimal amount of injury possible.
However, if his fists ever get too tired or dire situations occur, Robert will use the old iron shortsword he keeps clipped to his pants. The blade is probably almost worthless: it's got dents everywhere, it's heavy at the hilt and light at the actual blade making for awkward swings. Alongside that, the edges are also quite blunt, despite seldom used.
Armour/Clothing: Robert does not don any armour; he likely would not be able to afford it, probably would be no good in it and due to the sweltering heat his village gets, it'd be more than uncomfortable. Although, he does have a leather torso, but yet again, it's rarely ever worn; he simply sees no use for it.
Obviously, Robert only ever wears loose, thin and dirty rags. His shirt is nothing but a stitched-up green vest, revealing very hairy arms. The same with shorts: they're stitched together with a few holes here and there. His shoes are heavy (and usually sweat filled) clogs, making work on the fields more than uncomfortable.
To stop his hands from being riddled with cuts and scars, Robert wears thick leather gloves when out on the fields; probably the only protection he uses.
Sometimes, during the colder seasons or when he needs to make a short journey away for the village, Robert will throw on his travelling cloak: it's a simple brown, baggy cape with a hood.
Equipment: Robert always keeps a small pack on a strap on his side. It contains a bottle of water (as well as drinking the liquid, he was an odd habit of chewing on the lid; it helps him concentrate, for some reason), a mere five septims and usually some fruit.
Not much, but that's all he can really afford to have.
Spells: Does not use magic. It'd be impossible for him to learn anyway.
Physical Description: Surprisingly, Robert is actually quite a good-looking fellow: his cheekbones are high, he's got a well-shaped nose, his lips aren't too fat or too thin and his facial features in general are in good proportion. The only odd thing is that he has a lazy left eye, there is no known reason for this and people have just assumed it's natural.
Despite his good-looking face (except for the lazy eye, of course), Robert's face does seem a little withered and worn in certain areas. There aren't any scars, bruises or cuts from battle, but instead the amount of work he's done in his life has made him look a few years older than he actually is.
Due to the labouring under the scorching Magnus, Robert has developed quite a nice looking tan. However, he doesn't often to protect his body from the sun (even though he has a cloak) and has sunburns on the different areas of his body. Alongside that, he is naturally flushed and has quite red cheeks.
Robert is quite small in height but is relatively stocky. His arms are thick and very well muscled- his biceps and triceps clearly bulge and when he's working hard enough, his veins will begin to show through his skin. However, because Robert doesn't get much food he's a bit thinner in his stomach, with barely any fat on him. Veric has to move around a lot, too, making his legs quite powerful. Nevertheless, with exercise and hard work comes bad consequences; in this case, it's back problems. It isn't much of a bother yet, but give it five years and too much work would cause Robert much pain.
Robert's hair is a short buzz cut; he doesn't want to get hot, of course. Anything more than this Robert deems uncomfortable and dirty, even though he looks messy anyway. Plus, his hair greases easily, and that's not good when you have long hair. Also, Veric keeps faint beard stubble on his face- simply feeling it looks good. More of a personal opinion than anything.
Height: 5'8''
Weight: 155 lbs
Hair colour: Very light brown. Could be considered blonde but it's hard to tell with his hair being so short.
Eye colour: Blue
Personality: As mentioned throughout the sheet, Robert is generally a very friendly man; always wanting new friends to socialize with. To make things better, he is utterly selfless and is much more concerned with the well being of others instead of him. Robert is not the arrogant type, either, mainly due to the fact he hates the cocky and brash people of Cyrodiil- that is to say, a lot of them. However, that is not to say Robert is completely modest and shy: he does have confidence but he uses it to motivate him when working, not to boast of his achievements (not that there are many).
Robert believes that all races are equal, and that an Imperial noble is no more important than an Argonian beggar, just more fortunate. This may seem like a rather vague and narrow-minded point of view (which he actually hates) but it simply because of his upbringing and his life in general; he has been poor ever since birth, but that has never put him down or stopped him from working, only encouraged. He believes that the rich just got lucky.
As I've already explained, Robert is very loyal to his friends, family and work. He will not give up until it kills him; he has an iron-thick skin, to say the least. Some people say that he's too hardworking and needs to rest, but that just won't work.
Although he likes most people, there is a select caste that Robert simply cannot stand: the rich and lazy. He truly believes that everyone should have to work hard for a living, not just live off inheritance or get lucky with certain jobs. Maybe he acts a little bitter because he's worked for almost nothing, but he still sees it as unfair.
Bio: Robert's overall life could be called unspectacular at best. However, believe it or not, Veric was actually born a city boy. His mother and father raised him in the Imperial City up until he was two. Sadly, Pierre (Robert's dad) could not afford the house they were living in, and the family was evicted and pretty much forced to leave the city (Pierre didn't want to live anywhere else in the Imperial City, seeing the other districts as 'dangerous'). Almost certainly this is the reason why the Verics hate the rich city folk.
The family travelled the harsh wilderness with what little supplies they had until they stumbled upon a small trading village by a river (thankfully, there were no threats during their journey). Pierre made negotiations with the town's 'mayor' to let them live there; seeing as the village's population was so sparse and there were a few shacks free, the mayor saw nothing against it and let them live, as long they'd do their work on the farms. It was the beginning of Robert's life.
The family didn't have the intelligence, time or facilities to help Robert learn to read or write, so he was forced to do menial (yet tiring) tasks from a very young age- filling up buckets of water and the like. It could be considered cruelty to children to put someone of Robert's age through such physically draining jobs but instead Rob considered this a good thing, and is what developed his strong willpower and strength.
Pierre Veric started teaching Robert the arts of boxing at about 9 years old, hoping it would give the boy more physical strength for the jobs but also teach him how to keep calm in difficult situations (which is key in boxing) and to provide a hobby. The training was vigorous but both Pierre and Robert knew it was for greater good. Once again, some might have seen this as cruel but Pierre truly did believe, in his heart, that this was something that the two both loved doing, and really helped father and son bond.
By about 16, Robert was undoubtedly the most hard-working person in the village, despite his age. He was tough as any kid with his fists too (and probably the strongest) but still couldn't handle a weapon to save his life. Still, except from the legion guard who'd often stay around the village for its protection, Robert was probably the best fighter and if there were any problems with raids or creatures nearby, it'd likely be down to him and the guard.
The same routine is still going on, and there really hasn't been any adventure in his life what so ever. The only excitement is when a mudcrab scuttles its way towards the village, only to be picked off moments later. However, Robert did gain a family dog from working out in the fields; it made its way to the village one sunny day looking tired, beaten, and malnourished. At first, the townsfolk saw it as a lone wolf and wanted to kill it, but Robert pleaded to let it live if he promised to look after it. Because it wouldn't be their responsibility, the village people let him keep the dog. Due to Rob's lack of intelligence, he couldn't think of a better name than 'Dog'. Dog is probably around 10 years old now.
Now Robert is 35 years old, and starting to age a little. Believe it or not, he's also getting bored of the mundane tasks, and wants to live a proper life before dying. He will deal with his jobs for now, but doesn't want to stay in the little river village forever.
Miscellaneous: *- Has no problem eating any food, as long as it fills him up.
*- Despite being academically challenged, he actually speaks in a very clear diction.
*- Sweats profusely, it's almost like ten gallons of water have been thrown on him, when the day is hot.
*- The only scar he has is on his right hand; it got cut when he was boxing at a young age.
*- For some odd reason, he just hates to sleep. It's mostly due to the fact he hates doing nothing and because he sweats a lot, lying in a bed can become uncomfortable.
