Warzone of Four

Prologue

Down south in the badlands of the Capital Wasteland are two major sites, highly dangerous to civilians and soldiers. The area itself is nearly inhabitable. The rocky, mountainous terrain proves to be tough to cross, and with little to no food sources or game in the area, it makes for a desolate place. For a long time, nobody has bothered trying to live there except the daring and the skilled. But eventually the Raiders who had ultimately left from the Pitt and the northern badlands needed a new home. The northern badlands were now over-hunted and the original Raider home of the Capital Wasteland was now deserted. Only few small hideouts and camps were left now, and several Raiders migrated to the west. This proved to be unsuccessful. The west had been a home to hundreds of families of Deathclaws, the place was frequently patrolled by the Enclave, and the river nearby had a nest of mirelurks, which had slaughtered any raiding party. The Raiders were desperate now, and moved south, while some Raiders stayed.

Once in the southern badlands the Raiders realized the area was perfect. There were mole-rat nests everywhere, which nobody cared to eat, except Raiders and Super Mutants. The entire land for miles around was barren and unoccupied by barely much. The only threats were small amounts of Super Mutants and roving Yao-Guais, but they didn't stop the Raiders from setting up shop. Once they stumbled upon an enormous canyon that had used to be a factory and trainyard was now empty and still containing some unlooted goods. After months of building from nearby deserted shacks and what they could find, they now had a place to call home: Evergreen Mills.

While havoc and terror was raised in the area the Raiders now moved into, an organized band of mercenaries called the Talon Company had just began its uprising. While they had most of their battles and wars in the Mall and the area around it, they set up their base in an out-of-the-way pre-war Army base, Fort Bannister. Fort Bannister was only about a mile north of Evergreen Mills, and instead of starting rising tensions between the two feared groups, a Talon Company member had brought a document, signed by Commander Jabsco, involving a deal:
The Talon company would do their work without being raided and recieve food supply from Evergreen Mills, and the Talons would protect the Raiders from anything they couldn't handle, and would take care of anyone attempting an attack on Evergreen Mills. The leader of the Raiders, Yvotch the Horrible(taking the name from Ivan the Terrible), agreed with this pact. The two were now an unstoppable power, Raiders had the supplies, manpower, workers, and main supply of rifles, and the Talons had an army, supply of explosives, shotguns, ammo, and medical supplies.

Thirteen years after the death of the Lone Wanderer(2258-2283), the rocky region was discovered to be more than just piles of rocks; there were several deposits of gold, coal, and silver everywhere. This made the land up for grabs. The Raiders and Talons tried to work out a deal, but it just wouldn't work. The Raiders were greedy for gold so they could make more caps, and the Talons wanted the silver and coal for production of bullets and expansion of their base. Nobody wanted to share, because if they split it there wouldn't be enough for the two. Jabsco and Yvotch were now beginning to grow bitter of each other, and began an arms race.
More and more weapons and armor came pouring in to both sides. Finally on 2297, one Raider scouting party and one Talon scouting party ran into each other. The spark of the battle began with an arguement of which side was better, and eventually punching, then guns. All six Raiders were killed. Yvotch was furious about this, and declared war on Talon Company.

Four years of continuous fighting ensued, until the Brotherhood began to take notice of this war. The Brotherhood had actually planned to take the minerals in the area, and eventually open the area for another base, of which people could actually live, in safety. They prepared troops to take out everyone in sight, thinking the Talons and Raiders were no match. They would be proved to be wrong.
As if the war weren't bad enough, the Enclave wanted the minerals as well, and were ready to set up testing and research on the area long before the war, but never had the chance. They were ready to start as soon as possible, and wanted the war over. The Enclave deposited weapons, vertiberds, ammunition, and armor to Raven Rock. The Enclave and the Brotherhood were about to deploy into the same area at the same time in the middle of a waging war that had yet to be finished. Things were going to be hell, serious hell.

Rules

1:No flaming at all.
2:Violence, of course, allowed, but not too gruesome.
3:Cursing should be toned down.
4:No Godmodding
5:No super-armors, only use armors of your faction. If not, message me and I'll think about it. Enclave and Brotherhood soldiers are limited to weak power armor.
6:No controlling other players, unless you have their permission. They cannot give permission unless they get permission from me. No exceptions, or you will be kicked.
7:Only have appropriate weapons, no Fat Man, or anything overpowering. And an AK-47 isn't the only gun you can have. Have variety. M16s are strictly prohibited. Only in-game weapons or real life guns up to the 1970s. I am very strict about guns.
8:Damage is a real thing. If you've been shot in the leg, you aren't going to be up and running. You'll be down.
9:Have a number of stimpaks/food/generic medical supplies in your bio so that we know that when you pull out a stimpak during battle, it's really yours.
10:Finally, follow to your character's personality. If they're shy, they will not talk much. If they're outgoing, they talk alot. And please, try not to have your character with a six-pack or super-strong buff muscles, unless there's a reason. If you are going to be huge like that, you have to have my permission via pm or thread.

Name:Ratt (the Bad-ass Raider, as he calls himself)
Gender:Male
Race:Human, 15% on the way to Ghoul
Ethnicity:Hispanic, direct ancestry from Ecuador
Age:28
Faction:Raider
Appearance:Jet-black punked hair, slightly dark hazel eyes, 6'1, 173 lb, and a flat stomach, ribs barely showing. Quite lean.
Clothing:Weathered leather jacket covered in sewn-in spikes, torn faded blue jeans, worn-out black Converse shoes.
Armor:Torn, sleeveless wife-beater under the ripped top-half of overalls. Fingerless gloves made of thin cloth on both hands, knee-length shorts and knee-high socks. Rough leather boots shin-high, knee-pad on right leg, a ton of necklaces with items on them from past encounters. Wristguard on left wrist with sharp, rusted spikes.
Weapons:Basic pre-war assault rifle, Chinese pistol, combat knife
Misc:Crumpled pieces of paper in pocket, barely-working pen, 13 stimpaks, 2 med-x, 7 bottles of water, satchel over back to carry items, brahmin beef, human flesh, dog-tooth pendant necklace, human skeletal hand pendant necklace(originally strapped to the string as a hand with flesh), Brotherhood holotags, human tooth necklace, used bullet(wrapped in Deathclaw skin) fastened to a necklace. 20-30 5.56 clips and 10mm clips. Soft rag.
Personality:Generally psychotic, that is when he isn't out getting drunk or 'having fun' with any feminine Raider he can. If it were possible, he would be in a mental hospital for being completely cannibalistic and killing mostly anyone that isn't Raider. When he isn't being any of these, he is actually a nice person. Likes to joke around, listen to music(anything he can, really), and really well-known with majority of Evergreen Mills.
Bio:
Ratt was born in the Pitt. His father was one of the close bodyguards of the former leader of the Pitt, Ashur. When the Lone Wanderer became lieutenant of the Pitt's army after killing the previous one, he left without helping the rest of the army or anything. He just left the hand of the previous lieutenant, Wherner, on Ashur's desk. Ratt's father was given the hand and made a necklace of it. Ratt's father had previously been with the Brotherhood, and stayed back with Ashur during the Scourge, which Ashur never mentioned to anyone, even the Lone Wanderer. His father handed down his holotags before he died, as well as the hand-necklace which was now skeletal and tied together with more string.

Before leaving the Pitt, he brought his dog, Fang, with him into the wastes. Soon after leaving, he would be escorted from the tunnel to the Pitt to Evergreen Mills by slavers. Before getting far, the slavers were all killed by a deathclaw that had attacked. Fang had jumped onto the Deathclaw who was nearly dead from all the gunshots from the slavers. The dog saved Ratt, and bit out the veins of a main artery in the neck of the Deathlcaw, but died. Before the Deathclaw bled out, it killed Fang. Ratt took one of Fang's teeth, a piece of the Deathclaw's skin, and one of the slavers' tooth. He soon made necklaces of both teeth to remember that day.

Upon entry to Evergreen Mills, none of the Raiders knew Ratt had almost a direct connection to Ashur in the Pitt, so he was mistreated and beat every day. Soon, Yvotch the Horrible had heard from someone at the Pitt that he was, and told the others. People stopped treating him like crap and after years of raiding, Ratt had learned cannibalism and now had no remorse for wastelanders or anyone else but his friends and himself.

When the war began, Ratt didn't get involved, instead went back to the daily routine of 'drink and stink'. Though when one of his close friends was killed in combat, he decided it would be meaningless to sit back and watch his death be unavenged. Ratt now serves as a participant in the war and sometimes even commands other Raiders. He tends to call himself bad-ass because of his history, who he is, and what he does.

Name: Hans Oleander
Gender:Male
Race: Human
Ethnicity: German
Age:26
Faction: Raider
Appearance: Red Hair sticks out at awkward angles, goatee heavily sunburned, blue eyes, 6'1 200 lbs, athletic but bit of extra weight
This is him http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/File:VB_DD15_npc_Sid.jpg

Two more tanks for the flamer on a belt.
Personality: Hans likes to get in and create confusion and panic. Fire does that pretty well. In the event that he runs out of flamer fuel and none of the other Raiders have any he will stick a rag in some of his booze and let loose. If worst comes to worst he'll try to brain someone with his brick. The wet work usually follows.
Bio: Hans is a damn violent person. He has a tendency to create problems where there need be none. The Raiders embrace that so he embraces them.

I've just got one little question: Why is the M-16 prohibited? You said that any guns up to the 1970s was allowed, so why not the M-16? It's a design from the late 50s, not 70s or 80s.

It's because it's way too overused and I don't really like how when everyone puts up a bio they say 'm16' 'm16' 'scoped m16'

Ah, I was unaware that people's CS's for RPs were operating like that nowadays. Understandable, I'd do the same thing myself if I was in your shoes.

Hircine21's Bio:

Name: Lucius Blaine the III

Gender: Male

Race: Human

Ethnicity:Caucasian

Age: 23

Faction: Freelancer

Appearance: Dark black neck length hair, grey eyes, 6'0 180lbs, lean and in good physical condition.

Clothing: Torn black jacket, worn out blue jeans, rough leather boots.

Armor: Brown Duster with a red bandanna tied on the left arm, rough leather boots, red and black scarf.

Weapons: Sniper Rifle, Silenced 10mm Pistol, Combat Knife

Misc: three packs of cigarettes, grandfather's ornate pocket watch, lighter, silver chain, wooden spoon, 12 stimpacks(6 kept inside his duster), 4 bottles of water, 2 empty bottles, journal holotape, 2 cans of cram, 4 cans of Dinky Di Dog Food, mirelurk meat, 5 10mm clips, 22 .308 rounds, broken 10mm pistol, satchel for carrying items collected, pouch with 222 bottlecaps.

Personality: Cool, Calm, and collected at all times especially in the heat of battle. Considers himself to be a tactical genius and unsurpassed in the field of battle. Lucius speaks very little but when he does he is very condescending, yet he loves to be praised and admired. Lucius loves telling stories of his exploits in battles as he remembers everyone he has been in. Two of his greatest vices are cigarettes and beautiful women, but in his young life he has never taken to alcohol seeing it as a waste of brain cells.

Bio:Growing up in Canterbury Commons Lucius learned quite a bit about the ins and outs of the caravans that traversed the wasteland. Traveling constantly with his parents who were caravan drivers he was always traveling from settlement to settlement trading goods. Lucius hated the life of a trader but realized the need and profit in the work. The only enjoyment he got while traveling with his parents was his tutelage in the art of gun-fighting from his Regulator grandfather and his father teaching him how to repair things.

After reaching advlthood his parents retired to Megaton but Lucius didn't wish to live a life within the confines of the town. So once turning eighteen he left his family behind and signed on as a caravan guard. During his first job his group was ambushed by a well organized group of raiders but thanks to Lucius the entire group survived the battle with very minor injuries. Word spread quickly of his exploits, and many caravans wanted to hire him to protect their goods. Two years passed, and Lucius grew tired of the job leaving to pursue other interests.

In the last three years Lucius became a freelance mercenary, taking jobs as he traveled from town to town never staying in any one place for to long. During this time Lucius picked up a heavy smoking habit going through a pack a day. Lucius charges a standard rate of 500 caps but will also trade his services for food, ammunition, and guns.

Name: Patrick O'Conner

Gender: Male

Race: Human

Ethnicity: American, with part Irish background (hence the name)

Age: 27

Faction: Brotherhood of Steel

Rank: Knight

Appearance: Patrick has blue eyes and short blonde hair. He weighs 83kg's and is around 6 foot. Patrick is quite fit with an athletic body; this comes from wielding the heavy and restrictive power armour.

Clothing: White singlet, khakis track pants and boots.

Armour: Standard BOS armour, T45-d Power Armour with Standard Power Helmet. Aside from the Brotherhood insignia, Patrick has scratched tally marks into the right shoulder pad of his armour. This is to remember his squad members who had been killed in action. Currently there are four tallies.

Weapons: Standard issue Laser Rifle and frag grenades

Misc: Canteen of water, 3 stimpacks and some tinned food.

Personality: Patrick has the personality of the perfect soldier. He is fiercely loyal to the Brotherhood and to its cause. He fights for honour and glory. Patrick does what he's told and never questions the command of his superiors. He is well respected in by his squad members as Pat treats all of them as Brothers.

Bio: Patrick was born in Rivet City, always interested in doing the right thing for the people around him. When he turned 17, he joined Rivet city security and began work as a guard for the Aqua Pura caravans. The caravans had set routs and depending on the danger level, either the brotherhood or the Rivet City security would guard the vans.

The Brotherhood always took the most dangerous routs as they usually had to deal with super mutants. Rivet City security would always take the less dangerous rout, which would be dealing with the odd raider attack or some small time bandits, nothing of which they couldn't handle. One day while loading up a caravan at Project Purity, the scribes received a distress signal from one of the Brotherhood caravans. Usually a small force of BOS soldiers would move out to assist but the reserves were already busy.

Patrick's squad was sent instead. As soon as they arrived they also became pinned down by super mutant fire. Thinking quickly, Pat saw an opportunity, the super mutants were using cars as cover and just a few feet away was a dead BOS soldier with a belt of grenades. Without hesitation Pat made a mad dash for the belt. He managed to reach it and throw the grenades into one of the cars. The grenades went off, blowing the car to hell along with the surrounding cars and the group of super mutants.

Patrick was a hero; the Brotherhood extended an invitation for him to become an initiate, which he gladly accepted. Pat embraced the Brotherhood eventually becoming a Knight and well respected member.

@Above, The RP starts once I have at least one person per faction. For the Power Armor, clearly you haven't read everything because the first post clearly says Power Armor is allowed ONLY to BoS and Enclave, and you can only have weak Power Armor. Besides, why do you want to know? You haven't signed up.

Saw the post above with PA so I was curious. I'd read your first post but also his so I wasn't sure what the deal was. Trying to decide if I want to join in or not, seems like an interesting concept and I like some of the character builds.

Pariah I've got a few questions about the rp.

1.Is the aqua pura readily available in the wasteland or is it as rare purified water?

2.If the lone wanderer has died shouldn't the capitol wasteland outfit of the enclave be gone? Or are you having them move their once they find out what happened to Autumn and Eden?

3.How are each of the sides going to get the advantage on the others? Presumably the Enclave and BoS would have the edge over the raiders and talon company.

4.How many people are you trying to get into this RP?

Thanks in advance and looking forward to getting this started. :gun:

1: Aqua Pura is taking absolutely no appearance in this RP. There is no use for it.
2:No, there are in-game options of not destroying Raven Rock, and just because a base is taken out doesn't mean they won't return, saying they have.
3:As said, the Enclave and BoS are 'supposedly' having the upper hand, but they're only sending so few men into a war overflowing with hundreds, maybe in the low thousands of Raiders and Talons. That's more than enough to overwhelm some stupid pseudo-knightly nonsense soldiers and psychotic, nostalgic American soldiers.
4:Like I've said at least three times, when there's at least one person per faction.

Alright I was hoping the pure water was out anyway. I can understand raven rock still being there but I'm wondering who's running the enclave and where the new outfit came from. unless they are just the remnants.

Also I understand that the area we are in is near fort Bannister, evergreen mills, and raven rock. Where is the brotherhood setup? Also I know you said it was harsh terrain but are their any wastelander settlements? One last question where are the minerals located?

Sorry for all the questions.

Sorry for all the questions.

First off, just wanted to ask, why would there be settlements? There are no settlements anywhere near Evergreen Mills(we're still in the Wasteland in case you haven't noticed). There is no real Brotherhood setup, it'll just be a camp or something. Finally, minerals shouldn't even be an issue because we don't get those until after the war. And it's not like they're just in one place, it's EVERYWHERE.

Also, there isn't any new outfit, as explained, Raven Rock is still there.. Raven Rock is a major base and Eden isn't destroyed. Now do you see what I'm saying?

Since nobody's going to do anything with Talons or Enclave, I'll do some characters for those factions on my own, as well as one character for the Brotherhood.

Talon Company - Eagle Squad

Name:Randy Clarkson
Race:Human, Caucasian
Rank:Squad Leader
Appearance:Buzzcut dark brown hair, green eyes. 6'2, 198 lbs
