I had the exact same feeling of disappointment when I saw this crap. I mean, come on Crytek, you're better than this.

Try to look at the bullet shells.
In Crysis 1 they are in 3d, now in Crysis 2 they become 2d.

I play the intro, noticing all 3 available graphic options on PC barely look any different (I even had to go online and check wich was the "highest") So I'm like "Okay" I get to the first time he opens the door to see the city and soldiers etc, so after the small cutscene like moment is done and head straight to the water and when I see that sand/rocks in 2d on the floor... I simply asked myself why was I playing this? quit game and started playing something else THAT FEATURES AT LEAST DX10!

Thanks for nothing.

Not surprised.. crytek was developing a 90% rated game in 3-4 years and trying to make it the best looking console game now i don't know if Im the only person who knows this but it would seem that it would be much harder making a pc 360 and ps3 game with buildings concret trees grass dirt trash subways helicopter ECT ECT then it would be making a game for pc in 3-4 years with just trees, cars and dirt..
