There's a second volume of The Lusty Argonian Maid in the game...
... but to the people who ask endlessly about nudity, advlt content and "why is violence OK, but six is not", I ask: Why?
Part of it is being mislead. The game rating claims that WXY&Z are in there....if you only find WX&Z, that is what is known in retail as misleading the public. Gets you into trouble at the federal level, potentially.
Part of it is nostalgia. Arena had prosttutes in every city, on quite a few street corners and under quite a few lamp posts. Could get some info from them, too. Daggerfall had temple nudity, coven nudity, occasionally tavern bedroom nudity, and then there were the monsters that looked human (more or less) but never wore a single stitch of Armani (nymphs & daedra seducers come to mind). As well as the prosttutes. Now we get to the M$ device era, and we have more 'family friendly' nonsense shoved onto us with each release.
Part of it is world consistency awareness. No culture has ever -not- had prostitution; it even exists today in Sharia based Islamic nations, probably the most hostile environment short of the European dark ages (where the Church railed against sins of the flesh and built their cathedrals on the taxes they levied on the working girls who kept the soldiers and sailors from cherry picking the daughters of the township). Not talked about, never ever admitted to, but it exists. And no matter what era or culture, those who engage in the oldest profession have always been part of the shadow world......and usually decent sources of info about same. Then there's the home situation; we can own a home, and get a mate. Hands up everyone who stomps around home in full plate or chain mail!!!! Next, hands up everyone who comes home from the office or the Jarl's and stomps around the house in the fancy best!!!!! Communal bathing would be the norm for this culture; if nothing else, there's the issue of heating enough water to bathe =with=. Can you imagine the kinds of quest material a good writer could run with if the cities had proper bath houses in them? Places where you -had- to go in with nothing more than the skin on your back? Just like there should either be some form of indoor toilet facilities, or the streets should be a =whole= lot fouler....and the waterways, too. Skyrim is more Disney fantasy in tone. Yes, folks die bloodily, but none of the other aspects of biology seem relevant. Which kind of strips the world of a few levels of believability.
Part of it is story potential awareness. By sanitizing things as they have, they have lost a =lot= of potential story material. Dunmer maids are particularly promiscuous? Says a book. Where's the beef? All you have is androgynous androids. Does anyone think that anything about the temple of Dibella says jack about beauty? Aside from a couple of statues, it looks as tightly wound as any of the other Divines' temples do. THEN we get into potential with the various races. Sure, the various elven races can live up to a millenium.....but what about their fertility? Those short lived humans outbreed them at every turn. No resentment? Envy? Jealousy? What about Thieves Guild quests and storylines? Even if the pro's lack their own guild, don't you think the TG would protect them......just so they can use them? Want a six based quest line that fits the world? NPC X asks you to find their daughter, who vanished from location 1. You go there, get on her trail. You find her initial kidnappers, and 'reason' with them. They lead you to another city, where said daughter is rolling in the lifestyle. You find out from her that she planned to run away before she was 'kidnapped'.....and bought her way free with a few tumbles in the hay. Her family was forcing her into a swordpoint marriage, one she had no intention of abiding by. So what do you do? Kill her and lie about it? Help her and face either: being shunned by the family, closing off one quest line series, faking something up to get the family off her back and yours, yet leave her behind (in a very grateful mood, might I add?)? See the added potential? The more factors that people can relate to you include in a game, the more diverse the story mechanics can be.
