Things were good up until I went to Rivet City do research history. I crashed a few times there, and when I went back to Megaton, I crashed every time around Super-Duper Mart. I would see Bryan Wilkes in the distance, sort of not moving, but floating over the ground, coming toward me like a banshee or something... then the game would crash. I tried everything I could, and then I used disk cleanup and removed the temporary files. Then I did not crash... I am wondering if I fixed it, and if leaving temporary files will eventually lead to crashes, or did I just get lucky this time?

I am having similar issues I can not resolve. I am stuck inside the Super-Duper-Mart and can not exit the storage room without the game crashing. It has been running great earlier untill now.

I once had an issue where I could not cross an invisible line in the game without a crash. It was in the wilderness out by Jury Street Metro building wher you pick up the Xaulong Rifle. Anyway I would travel west just past the entrance to the metro station and the game would CTD everytime. Tried running way north and way south but whenever I crossed that line heading west I crashed. Tried eveything I could think of and finally just ended up going back to a previous save.

Since then I've never had the issue again. I assumed it was a corrupt save and didn't think about it again.
Don't know if that is what your experiencing Pulsecond but that is something you may have to resort to.

BTW - You should start your own thread rather than hi-jack anothers. Though your issue seems the same as Anzurok's it is not. His, I believe, is a memory buffer/cache issue where as I believe yours to be a corrupt save. FYI in the future.
