So I was just thinking about the Halo Anniversary Edition in

I was thinking that Bethesda should do an Anniversary Edition or something for Morrowind, but with graphics akin to that of what we are currently experiencing in Skyrim. Hell, Bungie did it with Halo which is currently 10 years old, so I don't see why it couldn't be done with Morrowind.

It would require a lot of artwork but I for one, as I'm sure many others, wouldn't mind dropping another $40-$60 dollars on a re-mastered version of Morrowind. Hell even a collectors edition I would pay for, since I'm not sure Morrowind ever had a collectors edition to begin with.

And for those not familiar with the Halo Anniversary Edition, its EXACTLY the same game in terms of EVERYTHING except the graphics.

Bethesda could then use the money gained from this to either start working on another Fallout Game or an expansion for Skyrim or something.

What do you guys think? I mean, the Halo Anniversary Edition sold TONS of copies, literally tons.

The only potential drawback I see is people would realize how wonderful Morrowind is and no one would play Oblivion or Skyrim :D.

(Perhaps this belongs in the Morrowind Forum, but I posted it here to, #1, get more views, and #2 the anniversary edition would relate to Skyrim's specific graphics.) Feel free to move it if you feel it gets in the way.

I have never played Morrowind, and I can safely say I would absolutely pay premium for Morrowind with Skyrim graphics.

It would be great but the downfall is that they couldn't voice it. There was a ton of dialogue in Morrowind.

Except Bungie has no affiliation with Halo now, since they sold the IP to 343 Industries.

This is true I forgot about that, but still, I think it would be possible.

@Chef Kronus: How good are the mods for morrowind that update the graphics? Oblivion style graphics or something in Morrowind?

@DoctorWho: True, but I wouldn't mind playing with no voices, also it might be possible for them to voice it. I remember them saying something about how they pulled like 70+ Voice actors together to voice Skyrim, so I imagine the same could be done for Morrowind, however it would feel weird playing through Morrowind again with voices instead of reading, I might prefer to just have voices off. Seeing as the anniversary edition would be the same game I imagine it would be selecting the dialogue options as normal with a voice over that ends when you select a new dialogue option, no need to make animations for people talking or anything. I can feel just as immersed listening to someone, I don't actually have to see them talk.
