For me this is the single best reason to play it on a console. Everyone will be on a level playing field.

I will be playing it on a PC and will be avoiding them as much as possible.

it helps if you don't just shout and pretend that you know 10.000's of players that "share your opinion".

You're right, except that they make them unable to compete. ESO is not WoW. AvA pvp will dominate the game and in the end people will need the UI mods to be competetive there. Its going to get ugly, fast.

I'd rather have no mods at all tbh. Zenimax can improve the UI themselves.

Armour stat, i dont think it exist yet.

Addons in the game can track buff and debuff on enemy as well as their castbar which the user can use for deciding interruption as shown by videos.

Those kinds of Mods are not possible addons are based on Lua programming language. This script is for modifying the UI only hence why they are called addons not MODs . They are meant to manipulate the User Interface script and nothing else saying that people can add in weapons and armor is just fear mongering.

Albatross V - Wondered when you show up to defend the mods/addons, now you see I was right and you were totally wrong. The MODS/ADDONS were much more gamebreaking than even you belived to debated.

We see a fullscale gamebreaking immersion of MODS/ADDONS invading a perfect game turing it into a ROBOCOP game.

If you feel the game is too hard , dont play it. Cheaters never win.

What video ?

Debuffs are tracked, and your buffs, not hostile player buffs.

Using a UI mod that was told would be in the game since 1st wave of information received about ESO, is not cheating.

If you have problems understanding how MMOs work, then id suggest you go google some information about MMO wiki etc.

Mods are important, game will live longer with mods and - simply, at the moment some important things are just missing, so it's clear, that the mod-community is filling the gap.

Where is the problem? Nobody is forced to use mods. I will use some of them in PvP because the are useful whereas I will skip some of them in PvE because it's not needed there. I don't see a problem at all.

Advantage? If a mod is a "cheat", it has to be blocked. And this will happen, because mods with the character of a cheat will be popular very fast ;-) There was never an issue with this in other games, so it will be no issue in ESO. In fact, it's one of the best decisions from ZOS so far. Starting with the fact that they were not enabling the combat text / log is a fail, because this combat information is needed and provides great feedback to the player about what is happening in the fight.

Its not cheating at all if Zenimax thought it was cheating they wouldn't allow addons in the game sorry your upset but such is life.

Nope, You're still wrong they are not game breaking in the slightest.

If you don't want to use them then don't, but you don't get to decide how others play the game.

Not sure if this has been posted but not all people use mods to meta-game.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=101ZEJF5z_8

People mod the game just to make it look nicer.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=esjIBC41fXI

During WRATH, a mod that gave items levels was very popular and got integrated into the game later on.

During TBC quest helper was a very popular mod that drastically help people with quest and Blizzard integrated that into the game.

When I played WOW I used a mod that once I harvest/mined something it would permanently place a mine icon on the map.

As a gather this helped me immensely and after a lot of farming I was able to tell where the best place to go gather based on the distribution and distance.

So fun to see some players are too stupid to see how these mods will affect a game in the long run. I takes some more intellect to see how free mods/addons will affect the game in the long run.

It shouldn't affect your game at all if you don't use them no one is forcing you to use them. If people want addons they can use them if they want just because some people don't want to use them doesn't mean others shouldn't.
