Was that a Meteor or UFO that just whizzed over my head? : Fallout 4

So I am very south on the map almost at bottom, about in the middle. When over head a huge "greenish" meteror or ufo whizzed over my head screaming to crash in the distance. I went to chase the impact, but could not find it. Ended up going towards the glow of the atom town in the crater. Has anyone else seen anything like this? Does it go to a quest? It was loud and bright (was at night).

I think Cait commented on this while it was happening, I was in the city somewhere built up and didn't see a thing. She said we should check out the wreckage. I haven't the first clue where to look!

I was way up north at the farm when it happened. At first I was gonna chase it to where I thought it landed then I assumed it could be 'anywhere' so I ignored it.

Unfortunately for me that event happened on a particularly rainy/foggy/overcast day. So I could hear it but couldn't see a darn thing.

I was inside my house in Sanctuary when I heard the sound of something loud go past overhead. Piper shouted out something like "wow did you see that?!" but when I got outside it was gone... no idea what I missed.

It crashes on the map and isn't just something to look at.. It is south of Beantown Brewery which is on the penninsula looking thing where the river bends on the west side of the map (near Oberland Station). There is a unmarked cave nearby you should explore as well.
