I was on the fence with The Elder Scrolls. When the game was initially announced I was very excited for the game. As time went on, and more direction of the game was given the less enthused I felt. When they announced this game was also headed to the consoles I really did not like what I heard. So I stepped away from the game for a while, thinking I'd play something else and just forget about this game.
A few days ago a friend asked if I were going to play ESO when it launched. I stated that I was not... but he made a good case for me to come back and check out the state of the game. So I did... and I must confess, the game appears to be shaping up. I admit to pre-judging to early and have since moved to purchase the Digital Imperial Edition.
I really liked the look of ESO as show in the PVP/RvR videos... Angry Joe, MMORPG and ElderGeek especially.
I'm glad they added collision detection - that adds so much strategy and tactic.
Anyway, I was leaning toward playing under the Aldmeri Dominion... but now I think I'll roll with the Daggerfall Covenant!!! Gonna get my Orc Templar on... see if I can whip up something close to my pre-nerf Smite-Cleric (DAoC)
Here's hoping Bethesda and Zenimax can capture a bit of the old magic.. and may The Elder Scrolls Online be the best MMO we've yet to play.
