I feel that the quick death was, if anything, too easy on Arvel. I hope that there is some conversation option before setting him free that will cause him to stay by your side for a while and then you can lead him into a draugr ambush.

I think he's always there, what I don't get is in Jan that missions plays out completely different He and the player out outside, he fights the player but the fight gets interrupted by a Dragon, they both run into a Cave, the Dragon spits fire into the cave and Arvel dies.

Yeah I think Arvel deserves another chance... he seems like he's still young. Maybe he was pressurised into going deeper into the dungeon while the other bandits stayed by the entrance.. like how the old kids send the youngest kid to fetch the frisbee from the neighbours yard who have a big rottweiler dog.

Personally, I don't like the sword approach. I would have fireballed him.

But, yeah, he got what he deserved.

Well I'm not sure what racial bonus Dunmer's will have in Skyrim, but if they are like MW or OB then you would be better off throwing lightning at him.

I think the little weasel got just what he deserved. He practically asked for it.
Fireball might of been a better way though. See his little frail body burn and
crumble.

Okay, sounds cool

Sorry, the facepalm wasn't for you. It was because you can go wherever you want and do whatever you want, the entire world is open in the demo, but he went to Bleak Falls Barrow. A place we've heard about since January, and seen since June. A lot of the journalists went there too.

But he said he went there on his second playthrough, so I revoke the facepalm...somewhat  I still would have gone in a completely different direction.

But to thrust a sword into his spine like that. :(

I agree. Should have axed his head instead.

Let's see...
betrays me after helping/saving him...check
taunts me as he is running away...check
steals what I want/need...check
Yup, he deserves it.

Then killing him which trumps all he ever did in evilness =P

As for what I'll do. I'll push the talk button and see what happens ;)

Frodo, for example.

he was half insane, hungry, tired, dehydrated, and being chased by a huge spider in a dark cave full of dead stuff.

and he was a hobbit

and he got out of it eventually

Poor wolves. They were pressurised by the Alpha Wolf. They deserved another chance.
Poor... random bandits around the world. They are just trying to survive.

Let's cry for or all them.

Arvel called the player a fool and said he wasn't going to share the treasure after Todd saved his worthless hide. Death sentence right there.

well...I wanted to do something rofl, picking a random direction is sixy and all but there is a BIG ASS BODY of water and a river blocking the way, either you take a bridge or Bleak falls I wasted enough time just to end up somewhere in the west :/

I wonder whyit seems absolutely nobody ever went East towards Riften. I mean plenty of people went North and South, fair enough the River's in the West, but I haven't heard of anyone going East.

Ironically Arvel died swiftly at the hand of Todd Howard. I can't say I wouldn't of done the same if I were in Todd's position. Betray him before he betrays you I say. :)

So, Lets say, he steals some poor mans family heirloom, You go to get it back, Arvel is trapped in a giant web, He says that if you release him he will share the treasure with you, runs away, What would you do? But your character? Just let him run.

I don't think anything I've to say you haven't already heard about, it was either I play or try to record stuff on the Ipod. I chose to play :P

Whenever I watch the demo.. I always think it was a little harsh how Arvel was killed in such a cold blooded manner.. he was no threat and was just after a few coins. But to thrust a sword into his spine like that. :( When I release Arvel I will not kill him, but instead follow him to the end of the quest. If its possible, I will make him a companion.

Damn it seems you are only whining about everything , nearly every post you made are to show bad points of the games and feed trolls

Every time I watch that part, I want Todd to try talking to him, because there's that "Talk" icon that shows up even as he's running away. Would he stop and talk? Would selecting "talk" simply make him hurl an insult at you? Or would it do nothing altogether.
