yes he's dumb as hell though because he gets killed by the Traps
That reminds me of an Oblivion quest in an Ayleid ruin. It was either Fighter's Guild or Mage's Guild. Some guy who was supposed to help you charges straight into a trap right from the start,
Well, the ratfink basically betrayed his two comrades (the man and woman at the beginning of the dungeon). And then, he ran off after being rescued from a humongous spider. He deserved to die.

Whenever I watch the demo.. I always think it was a little harsh how Arvel was killed in such a cold blooded manner.. he was no threat and was just after a few coins. But to thrust a sword into his spine like that. When I release Arvel I will not kill him, but instead follow him to the end of the quest. If its possible, I will make him a companion.
He needs to be killed as he is holding the claw, on the back of the claw is a code used to open a door puzzle so you need to kill him.
He's stuck in a web and needs me to let him down, and he has something I want and need. So, I'll try to take the claw off him before I let him down. I just hope that's an option in the quest.

Yes, I'd go so far as to say Todd's character is a tad cold blooded for doing that as well. It kind of boggled my mind that it was just accepted that it's okay to murder this guy just for running off. It was clearly meant to demonstrate the game play options though, I think. You don't have to do that they've confirmed. They even spoiled what happens if you don't.

finishers activate randomly and im sure if you let him run away youl never see his skinny grayish blue [censored] again or the golden claw.
