CPU is fine, your graphics is really the major factor. Cant really say much without knowing what it is.

yea I don't know how to find that info, umm...this computer was built by a garage geek...someone I used to work with that does his own computers...

its almost as if whatever this computer has isn't showing up?...how can I find out for sure?

it plays oblivion better than my 360 did? It made me think that was a good sign at least

wish I could download a demo to see

Go to the start menu, right click Computer, click properties, on the right hand side click device manager. Third one down should be display adapters. Click the arrow on the right and that will tell you what graphics card you have.

Or just type in device manager into the search bar. that seems easier.

It'll run it but it's below the recommended graphics card. Then again mine is too (i have the 630) and it runs fine. I'm not maxing out the graphics or anything but I can play it decently.

it doesn't have huge frame rate issues for you if you set the visuals properly? how about when it snows? for some reason I remember the 360 frame rate dropping when it snowed

Idc if it is exactly 720 or 1080 or max settings, I just want it too play as smooth as possible, my theory is 360 is almost 7 years old when it started playing skyrim, im hoping this computer can as well

Nah. I'm actually running quite a few things on high, with the distance to the max. I shut off the grass but that's because I can't stand it. I never notice any significant amounts of lag. Just mess around with the advanced settings a bit and you'll be fine. Never noticed anything during storms either. The 630 does seem to be a bit better than the 610 though. I'd say mess around with the visuals and find what works for you. Worst comes to worst and you'll have to set it on low to get a decent framerate but I don't think that'll happen. Oh and avoid changing the resolution. A worse resolution does make a difference but only a very small one. Not much compared to how much it will distort your image.

I think I may make skyrim the first one I actually play without resorting to some money or duplication glitch to make money...

I may just do a legit run...

I usually start out that way then end up hitting a wall where I need something ive sold or used up that costs a ton, so things get drastic and I find a way to make my efforts reward myself much greater lol

hopefully I can just manage through skyrim without needing to be cheap!
