Was wondering

Are there any spots in the game where there is lava? I haven't found any yet and I would have figured, you know, being "mountainous" and all, there would be some live/dormant volcanoes....

Nope and just because there are mountains doesn't mean they were formed from volcanos. Most mountains are formed from the plates pushing together. Islands are formed from volcanos

I realize this...but I just now came across some steam pools and fissues in the mountains that blew steam. Now I know vents can breach the earth's crust without any magma near the surface...but if the game developers added these in...why couldn't we have lava? hehehe...jus' saying. Can't wait for the Mod Kit to be released >:D

I thought I saw some lava and it looked really cool...

Then I remembered I was thinking of the lava from Voxatron. :(

If you mine deep enough underground, you'll find lava pools. Probably some obsidian, too.

No volcanoes, but I've seen geysers. IIRC, they are usually located near active volcanic areas - Yellowstone, Iceland, Kamchatka... But since we've already been to Morrowind and seen its volcanic landscape, I guess we won't see any more of it in Skyrim.

HAHA, good one  ...my little bro got me into that game...I avoided it like the plague due to other games taking up my time...but he finally convinced me to play it, and I have to admit, it is one of my favorites, even got a server up for the entire family, wife included...
