Wasteland Load Carrying Capacity Issues

Post » Sun Feb 14, 2016 10:35 am

So I had a bunch of people out in the wasteland and they all seem to have been turned around due to having reached their carrying capacity - even people I just sent out a few hours ago - they only have a few items and should still have days of exploring left.

Same here. Sent out explorers who had returned from 2-3 days in wasteland with many items (50+) and last few times they all returned mostly after only 3hrs saying they'd reached carrying capacity, most with 5 items, 1 with 25 :(

All explorers are level 50, all with high stats (most maxed/nearly maxed in all stats). This includes 1 lvl 50 with max strength and endurance.

I hope this will be fixed soon, or I'll be pretty pis... upset that I spent $20 on pet packs in the last week to improve their hauls...

Bethesda, you need to address this. All explorers are returning after a few hours with just a few items.

+1. Started last night, all explorers returning as soon as they reach 5 items with the 'carrying capacity reached' message. Totally exasperating.

Sent ticket with screenshots, got this back:

Greetings Overseer!

Thank you for contacting Bethesda Support, Vault-Tec Division. I understand that you’ve encountered a bug when playing Fallout Shelter. I understand that bugs can be frustrating, but I can help clear this up for you!

Due to the nature of the mobile platform, the scope of troubleshooting that Support can provide is very limited. We do not have any ability to view or troubleshoot Fallout Shelter save files, so we cannot provide specific troubleshooting for issues that occur within your particular save file.

I do recommend these basic troubleshooting steps, as they may help in resolving in-game bugs that you’re experiencing:

1. Ensure that you’ve installed the latest updates for the game on your device. You can install the latest updates via the Google Play Store app.
2. Reboot the device you are playing on. This will free up the available system resources on your device and resolve any issues occurring due to lack of available memory.
3. Please ensure that you haven’t altered the system clock on your device while playing Fallout Shelter. Changing the device’s clock can cause issues with your dwellers, specifically. If your device forcibly shuts down due to low battery while playing Fallout Shelter, this could also potentially damage your save file and cause various issues.

Beyond these steps, Support does not have any further ability to troubleshoot in-game bugs.

For assistance with recovering or obtaining a refund for any lost in-app purchases due to a bug in your vault, please contacthttps://support.google.com/googleplay.

Kind Regards,
Bethesda Support
Vault-Tec Division

Exact same problem here. Since yesterday carry capacity capped to 5 items, not 100 like before.

edit: somehow explore button now working again. Explorer that said capped before can explore again. Glad this problem turn out just temporary issue, gonna wait to see how my explorer now doing.

I also sent a message to tech support, received back a generic message basically pointing me back to these forums....

But seems like Bethesda is no longer active here. This is really frustrating since I spent money on animal packs to improve my wasteland hauls. Now they're irrelevant.

The phrase 'Bait & Switch' comes to mind...

Android user as well, same issue, everyone returned to the vault, and now they will only collect 5 items, say that is all they can carry and return to the vault. Very frustrating Bethesda, please fix!

Problem seems to be fixed today (for me at least).

Dwellers who came back with only 5 items yesterday were sent back out last night (edit: about 8h ago), and currently have 9-11 items and still exploring.

I closed the app then powered my tablet off to charge overnight.

Booted up 20m ago, and voilà, everything seems good so far.

Maybe try what I did if you're still having problems:

Select Pip-boy menu->settings (gears)

Select 'Main Menu' to exit your vault (wait till main menu loads)

Open the app switching view (the overlapping squares next to your home button)

Remove FalloutShelter by swiping (not sure if same for all android)

Then power off (not reboot)

Then turn back on.

If it doesn't work, maybe leave it off & plugged for a while?
