They both do the same thing. One works on "animals" and the other works on "wasteland creatures". Seems to me they could have lumped these in together and given us a really cool new perk. Maybe make animals the first rank and wasteland creatures the second rank. What exactly would be considered an animal or creature?

Animal Friend works on animals like Wild Dogs and Mole Rats while Wasteland Whisperer works on creatures like Radscorpions and Radroaches.. If a creature has been heavily mutated by radiation, then it is a wasteland creature. If it hasn't been heavily mutated by radiation, then it is an animal.

Not sure if Deathclaws would work with Wasteland Whisperer perk since they have been heavily mutated.
