Wasteland Workshop is so cheap

I hadn't seen that. It does sound promising. My thinking is that they gave us quite a lot of new items in the 1.4 patch for free, so there should be a lot on the way for $5, depending on how much they value this combat zone thing.

Because just like WW, we don't really know much about it. You're assuming FH will be some incredible accomplishment. I hope it is. But to compare it to a $5 dlc is pretty silly. Whether you use it or not, the settlement feature is one of the biggest things people are messing with right now and adding content to that is more than welcome, especially for $5

That's right.

I'm hoping we get a lot of the pre-war stuff like nice toilets and beds and maybe even some of the medical equipment like the stuff that comes up in the loading screens.

Just some wooden dressers that don't have broken drawers would be a nice addition.

Hopefully they'll add a way to remove corpses... It breaks it for me when I try to make a settlement all organized and livable for settlers and there are dead ghouls or settler bodies that stay there indefinitely. I'm on console, so I can't use console commands or mods to remove them.

I wanna be able to clean up my settlements more than anything. Take out the piles of leaves and trash, get rid of the weeds, clean up settler faces. Stuff like that. Also I wanna be able to name my settlers dang it!

If I were on PC, this would be my first mod.

I'd also like to see the much cooler PA stations that are, at present, not buildable.

One thing on my settlement wishlist would be to have more items that your settlers can interact with... besides chairs, crops, and vendor stands... It's cool to have all the props in the settlements, but it's kinda lame that all you can do is look at them. I'm not gonna hold my breath though because I know it's a lot to work out that coding and incorporate new animations, etc... But if they did that, it would be awesome. I'd feel pretty accomplished if I saw settlers playing some basketball with the new hoop I put up or playing a little billiards, etc...

Even some generic lines of banter between settlers, just to make the settlements seem more alive. As of right now, I don't feel any difference between seeing something in build mode vs seeing it "in action". I know Settlements was a late addition and they didn't want to force people to do settlements, so they didn't really commit to making them more useful, but maybe they can do something with a DLC or take that into consideration in a future game.

Doors that NPC's can't open would be nice. Sometimes I tire of kicking Settlers out of my bed ... ... unless they're cute of course.

BREAKING NEWS: If you check out the new stats added in the update Levels cleared etc. you'll notice it sounds like like arena stats, like the arena added in the wasteland workshop dlc. It's possible Wastelandwork shop may DOUBLE as a sort of combat zone dlc as well?

A lot of the posts in this thread are about the new settlement items we can build, but the new feature they're selling Wasteland Workshop on is being able to capture enemies in the wild and have them face off in a battle arena you can build at your settlements. That's probably what those stats are for.

More settlement stuff, that's all I needed to hear. One thing I like is with the captured enemies and fight will make me feel like The Governor from The Walking Dead.

I am stoked that Beth are releasing three very different DLC packages, rather than simply a series of bolt on new self contained land masses.

Don't get me wrong, I am really looking forward to Far Harbor, but I am totally looking forward to Workshop for the Settlement stuff.

If the first two expansions bring decent story lines and gear, im totally okay with a small content only release.. Isn't this the first wave of a few DLC packs?

Obviously. It's basically going to be the Hearthfire DLC of Fallout 4. Content that is focused on the settlement building aspect, though of course far more extensive than Hearthfire when comparing house building in Skyrim to settlement building in Fallout 4. And the most prominent feature being the ability to create your own arena. All for the same $5.

Some folk who have heavily invested in settlement building are definitely looking forward to this DLC, perhaps more than other DLC as already seen in this thread. As someone who has also spent a lot more time building up settlements, I'd say I'm also looking forward to it, although not more than the other two.

Extend Settlement building/green areas, increase settlement size cap please, this is a real bummer on consoles. Name settlers perhaps? If those were covered this would be a sneaky good $5 dlc.

It's not going to be a huge expansion like Far Harbor or Point Lookout. It's priced accordingly though. It's going to be a small DLC that just adds a single feature and some associated settlement building components and so on to the game. I don't think there are even going to be any real quests related to it. For $5 I'm not really expecting much. I think it's still going to be a really cool feature though.

Same here. I want all the DLC, but like Skyrim I could easily sink the most time into the smallest DLC. (so far)

I'll probably spend more time messing around with the workshop stuff than playing through the other two (though I'm looking forward to them), so it sounds like a good deal to me. My secret wish? Dean Domino poster.

l am still hoping that beth makes a big DLC about say maybe the birth of a new fallout faction all those settlements vote for a leader of the New Commonwealth. You can only do this if all the settlements are built and there are no gunners Supermutants Raiders, just minutemen and settlers.
