Wasteland Workshop DLC

Is this accurate? Fallout 4's 'Wasteland Workshop' is going to feature what amounts to Mandingo Fights? Is this why the Karma system was removed or am I reading this wrong?

That's probably just the most notable part about the DLC. They'll probably include more "modern" textures, like what you'd find in the Institute.

In other news, I hope this will make my Michael Vick build more viable.

I hope I can just imprison them to serve as research subjects. No hard feelings, Child of Atom, but you fascinate us.

In any case ,the mod will bring a lot of things concerning the Workshop. The arena is just supposed to be the coolest feature.

The arena might finally give the Vault-tec rep a use other than moping around sanctuary.

You do know he has a special inventory if you give him a level 3 general goods stand, right?

I don't know what is worse, the fact that you joked about dog fighting or the fact that I laughed.

'Coolest' is an interesting way to phrase it. I just find it a little messed up that they're allowing you to enslave people and pit them against other people or creatures for blood sport. I know a lot of this is likely because of the VS. Youtube videos but those where at least detached from the game itself.

If you can name the newly captured slaves, just remember not to name any of them Spartacus or you might be in a world of hell.

Yes, but i find the idea of him being smacked about by a deathclaw amusing.

This is why the Robot Track and Combat zone in the game was not used for betting races then, they decided to make an arena DLC instead, I'm pleased about that

Really hoping that Institue gets a settlement tileset and you can turn certain settlements into research areas. I'm kinda ok with the idea of a dlc being solely for settlement building purposes and was already expecting they'd do this.

I just wish you could rebuild broken houses. The huge holes in the roofs kinda svck.

And, you know, not have slaves fighting to the death for the entertainment of free people. Something tells me doing this to Synths should really piss off the Railroad.

One can only dream of pitting Preston Garvey against Marcy Long, hearing Preston ramble on about a settlement needing your help in the final moments of his worthless life

Why Marcy when you can pit him against a mythic Deathclaw named Shredder?

The full quote is "Tame them or have them face off in battle, even against your fellow settlers.", so I don't think the capture-and-release mechanic is just for creating battle pits of death. I wonder if "taming" raiders implies that we can convert them into ordinary settlers, and change their wicked ways.

Revelation: Screw making a battle pit. I'm going to turn Spectacle Island into a damn prison.

That would imply he wouldn't be the one to do the smacking. :gun:

I hope we can put Synths in the arena. My Imperator Director could use some gladiatorial sport.

'Tame them' is just a polite way of saying 'break their will' or 'brainwash'.
