I only know the first generation lmao. Maybe they could have irradiated glowing versions of Grimer and Muk haha.
If they're going to make Pokemon easter egg with Mirelurk and Deathclaw, I hope the Deathclaw will be orange with fire on its tail and Mirelurk Queen with two pipes attached in the back.
And of course, we leave Bulbasaur out again.
That's because Venussaur is [censored] useless compared to the other two. Bulbasaur is good early on but by the end he get one hit killed by everything.
I pretty much gave up trying to keep track after the second generation. I still play the games at times but I just pick what Pokemon look the coolest not who are the best. Ghost easter eggs called Gastly, Hunter and Gengar or a Mole Rat named Rattata or Raticate
I always liked Victreebel and got Blue originally (got Red and Yellow later on). Carnivorous Pitcher plant FTW!
What we really need is a Tauros mount. If we throw rocks or bait at it, it'll just flee though, so just hold down + B and hope for the best.
@Trannigan : I played up to Pearl. I'm still importing my RSE (Gen 3) Pokémon in the Pal Park tbh. I just kinda quit about 6 years ago. :/
Hmmm... Who was my favourite Gen 1? There so many to choose from. Gengar is pretty cool, but I'm really hoping for a mod that turns Dogmeat into Ninetales. You don't even need to call it Ninetales. Just call it Kitsune or something.
@SetoKaiba : I didn't mind Venusaur. Problem was that most Grass types were Dual Typed with Poison, so you'd have to have a good Special stat to survive the myriad of Psychics in Gen 1. Bug slowly got buffed over time too. Heracross and Megahorn really kickstarted that in Gen 2.
Rattata and Raticate would be decent Molerats. Tbh, they looks like some kind of mad genetic experiment that crossed a Diglett with a Rattata of Unusual Size.
Yep. Bulbasaur is literally Beginner Mode and slowly turning the game into Thug Life Mode at later part.
I chose Squirtle because I'm pro.
Charmander was for all the "cool kids" (low self-esteem brigade).
Hydro Pump was pretty underwhelming in comparison to Blizzard though. If you needed a strong, reliable Water move, Surf was pretty much the only one. Crabhammer was good but Krabby/Kingler exclusive. Bubblebeam was decent, I guess.
Pfft. Dragons are overrated. Just look at Skyrim!
Charizard is nerfed after gen 1.
He received extra weaknesses from Electricity and Rock because of his secondary Flying type.
My first choice was Squirtle too, just because my brother picked Charmander. lol. But for some reason, Dewgong became my most trusted Water/Ice type, instead of Blastoise..
EDIT: Why the F are we talking about Pokemon now??
Pokémon is like 5 million times more interested than 95% of games today.
"Hey, anyone want to talk about The Division? No? Okay."
Gen 1 was actually creative, but man, things have gotten desperate over time. Even Chandelure made it into Pokken Tournament! ^(x_X)>
I do have a Shiny Cresselia from Gen 4 though. Yeah, that's right. A Shiny Legendary. I was trying to EV train my Palkia into a Special Sweeper too. Problem was, I didn't keep notes and I stopped playing halfway through it's training.
The DS has really suffered due to a lack of an equivalent Game Boy Player imo. Here's hoping the NX has something like that.
Anyway, back to Fallout Pokémon. Anyone think a mutated Wailord would make for a good Boss type in Fallout 4? It'll be like that thing from Resident Evil : Revelations. Malacoda(?) I think?
I'm not exaggerating. I don't have the first clue what Pokemon is about, even after reading your lucid explanations. Maybe I really am just that old.
Or maybe it's my deliberate avoiding of animated series based on toys. I don't know anything about Transformers, either...
Transformers are friggin awesome. Megatron and Starscream? Hello?
LOL the Transformer movies svcks ass big time of course, Jerry Bruckheimer wrecked that franchise as expected.
Well, what with the all the water, I figured we should have a massive sea beast thing. Mirelurk Queens are a joke thanks to my Sneak Attack Crits, so having a proper battle would be great.
I've just started Xenoblade Chronicles (original Wii one, not XCX), so I'm just off to check GameFAQs for an in-depth explanation of Skill Lines and stuff. I figured I should start planning my stat gains early for maximum effect. Everyone said it was like Dragon Age (which really put me off tbh) but it's actually way better than that.
Bethesda RPGs really need an overhaul of combat mechanics imo. I was hoping we were going to get it with Skyrim, but nope. There's no real feeling of the magnitude of the battles you're in. Dragon's Dogma really nailed that sensation and made it awesome to fight things.
I dunno. I think Bethesda could learn a lot if they actually tried to develop a new series of combat systems. Fallout's combat always feels a bit lacking in impact imo. They can be cool and satisfying, but it's all very plain. Basic "numbers" guns doing "numbers" damage to enemies to take all of their "numbers" until you win.
I guess that's the main difference between Western developed and Japanese developed RPGs. In Japan, characters have flashy skills and a very specific style to them. In the West, Skills don't really stand out in combat. At all. It's just all very pedestrian.
Aaanyway, I think the real leader of the Institute is Porygon. He controls the Matrix and you're just a bad cluster to him.
Yeah, that's really Meta(gross).
I'll go now. >_>
Why not just bring a GIANT Deathclaw and call him Godzilla lol, wins every time .
EDIT: On second thought a giant Deathclaw would make all the Pokemon look like Teletubbies.
Gen 4 Garchomp trashes your giant Deathclaw.
Also, Deathclaws are super weak in FO4, so now he's even less interesting.
Gojira from New Vegas looks like a Pokémon. OH WAIT! It's a Fire Gecko! You know, those critters that most people loved from New Vegas because they were well designed and had some character to them.
Yeah, Deathclaws are scrubs.
Once you reached a certain level Deathclaws were easy to kill with the right weapon.... Anti material rifle, stealth, rockets red glare. I thought the deathclaws were pretty OP, and like how they made them in fallout 4...but thats just my opinion, because lots of people complained about how strong the deathclaws were.
In New Vegas, I used Dinner Bell and Shotgun Surgeon most. Deathclaws can't do anything if they're constantly on the floor.
Other than that, they were tougher in New Vegas.
Kinda misses my point though. Geckos were awesome and Pokémon would wreck the Commonwealth. It's just a fact.
@TheSpartan45 : Says the guy with the Fire Emblem avatar. Mmmkay then.
Reason I reference a giant Deathclaw is realistically speaking a Deathclaw the size of Godzilla is unkillable, an actual nuke would look like a BB gun to him.
Fallout isn't realistic and Pokémon transcend most logic and physics.
Seriously, they can rend apart space and time. It's japanese, it doesn't have to make sense.
I was hoping for a Deathclaw King though. He should be at least twice the size of a standard Deathclaw and have crazy stats and new attacks. Missed opportunity there imo.
I recognize your argument as valid. Gecko's were awesome, and pokemon would wreck the Commonwealth. I was kind of upset though when my gecko backed leather armor didn't look like it was made of Gecko skins though
Btw, Mirelurk King and its sound wave attack is very much Pokemon.
Heck, the Mirelurk family is like Pokemon evolution already.
Hell, Softshell Mirelurk itself is actually Kabuto.
*booom! booom! booom! (mind blown)
am i srsly the only one not giving a crap about pokémon?
