The problem is that Harry owns me quick with his laser rifle (hoping my newly acquired metal armor stands up to that a bit better...), and then several other muties come charging at me. I'm at L5, have a combat shottie, a plasma pistol (but crappy E-Weaps skill), fair quantities of ammo for both, Tycho, and Dogmeat with me.

And about Harry, did ya try talking ya way out?

Tried multiple dialog paths, but not all of them. All that I've tried inevitably end up becoming a shootout.

Sometimes he starts hitting on my female char (in his own dumb brute way), sometimes he says I "don't look like a ghoul". Do either of them have a dialog route that results in not getting gangbanged by muties?

Both of them have their ways, but unless you've been working on your Speech skill, there's little chance you'll be able to talk your way through.

I managed to do it by convincing him that I'm an android.

He then proceeded to whack himself on the head. :rolleyes:

When he says, "You not ghoul, you not be here!" Say, "Ok. I'll be going, then." He's so dumb it works with low speech.

Should have got the sniper rifle, with that you don't need to talk your way through. Just shoot the stupid mutants through the window.

At least now ya able to get the water chip and fix the water generator (assuming ya doing that as well).

Yup, I'm chipped, and the pump's all fixed. Only had to deal with two Glowing Ones, which were thankfully easier to deal with after I leveled up and dumped all my skill points in upping E-Weaps. They got to taste some superheated ionized gas from my little find earlier in the sewers. :gun:
