when im playing the game regularly my fps averages around 45-50 even during larger battles. however whenever i look directly at water or things like gate fences the framerate drops to 5. How do i fix this?

edit: this effect completely vanishes asoon as a disable depth fog, no other setting for water has any significant impact on my fps. Is there any way i can fix this
