Water Purifier

Post » Thu Feb 24, 2011 6:34 am

So I'm working on an update to Fallout Food that would include water purifiers. What I'd like to find out is - would people prefer to pay caps to purify the water they collect from sinks etc cetera, or should they be limited use items, i.e. can only purify water once a week?

Scriptwise, it shouldn't be too hard to implement either way, so I'd just like to get a general idea of what folks using my mod would like.

Cheers,

Coleen.

A good balance is a consumable item.

A very good idea would be require a radaway for every say 6 bottles of purified water. set a global variable to 6 on a recharge, each use of the purifer decreases the global. When the global = 0 you are prompted to refill the purifer with a radaway.

A good balance is a consumable item.

This. Better for immersion, and the item (whatever you make it) is readily available. Paying caps would seem strange.

FWE has a similar thing, it consumes one power cell per use, and one Rad-X per two uses.

Hmm - some good suggestions here, thank you. I like the consumable item idea far better than my idea of using caps.

Thanks!

If it is a prewar item, you could have it accept prewar money.
