Water Radiation?

Post » Mon Jun 10, 2013 8:29 am

So I'm currently try to add water to create a new pool inside the Tops for a small mod, and everything is pretty much done.

However, for some reason the water I placed in the pool, despite being the "VULBathhouseWater" from the Ultra Luxe is giving off 1 Rad per sec of radiation. I'd like to remove that (as its annoying to have an irradiated pool) however I can't seem to find any way to remove the radiation from the water.

The Bathhouse Water in the Ultra Luxe is not irradiated, so I'm a bit confused. Any help is appreciated.

Edit: I've also tried several other placeable water types, and they all have the 1 Rad per second issue. I'm guessing this is some sort of default setting.

IIRC, immersion irradiation rate is 1/10 the ingestion irradiation rate.

You need to use a water type that doesn't have any radiation effects.

Which is what I don't understand. How do I figure out which ones don't?

I went into the game to find the water types that don't have radiation and the Ultra Luxe bath certain doesn't. Gives off no radiation in-game. Yet when I place that same water type used there (VULBathhouseWater) into my own pool, it suddenly gives off radiation. "NV clean water" is exactly the same.

Doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to it.

Edit: Yeah, I've been going through all the water types. I can't find a single one that doesn't emit radiation. Ingesting the water doesn't make the player irradiated, its just standing in the pool.

I'm really confused as to how this works.

Edit2: Whoops. Meant to edit my previous post.
