Waterbug and dlc

Post » Sun May 05, 2013 7:43 pm

So hey guys
I have been playing through ''Dragonborn'' when in one main quest
I had to travel through water suddenly the game feeezed and I searched in web about this bug

So I figured out that you have to delete game data and uptades and re install them

But,and that's my issue,i saw that many people who tried that after playing one of the dlc 's have lost all
the dlc's save data and except of this lost their single dlc itself! Say they can 't redownload it etc.

So, what I am supposed to do?

umm...where exactly did you read they cant redownload the dlc? unless you have a bandwith limits youre worried about, youll just have to go to the psn and re-download it. Also, in case youre worried about losing your saves, back them up on a usb drive before uninstalling.

Just this? Save the saves :-P and re download the dlc from the dowload list?

So I 'll not lose anything, right?

Exactly that. Don't delete any saves you have, make a backup... :tops:

Re-download the DLC's from the download list... :tops:

if you do that, i recommend to delete the install data as well and install it again, for best performance. :D

Hang on a sec, did Dragonborne DLC reintroduce the water crash bug?

Wow. :)

Not necessarily. I never ran into the water bug, so I never done the delete install and patch data method. I eventually deleted my install and patch data around patch 1.9 to see if it would solve a few issues I was having (not related to the water bug), so I should not run into the water bug when I do get the DLC.

I do not believe the DLC itself caused the water bug to creep up, the bug was probably minding its time until it felt like activating, due to the fact he never ran into the bug and had to do the fix to correct it.

That's been quite a lot of play without entering water then since as I understand it, the 1.05 water bug was pretty consistant in it's appearance.

Oh trust me, I was in the water quite a bit, I never ran into the issue on my system. There is a few quests where you have to go under the water (many of which I completed with the 1.5 patch).

that would be impossible as i have DB installed and never had a crash in water. (I got my ps3 copy of the game around the time 1.08 patch was the latest one)
