WaterMod

Hi there, this is my first complete Mod for Fallout. I made a few translations for Fallout 3, but with Fallout: NV out, i found a missing feature and decided to make a mod for this.
This Thread is a little bit late, since my Mod is allready out for a short time, but i decided to put up a thread here to get feedback, suggestions and bug reports.


Description

This mod is for bottling water from all water source throughout the wasteland. In Fallout 3 i was irritated that it wasn't possible to collect water from water sources and with Fallout: NV and its hardcoe mode it was even more irritating for me. So i looked for a water mod, but the existing ones didn't satisfy my needs. This one is in my Opinion the most complete WaterMod out there, with many options and few limitations. When using a water source a small menu appears from which you can select to either activate the source as usual or bottle water. When you select "Bottle Water" a recipe menu is shown from which you can select which bottles you want to use and how many. Also you can replace water of lower quality with higher quality (irradiated to dirty or puriefied & dirty to purified water). Drinking water gives the water container as an empty bottle back to player, so you can reuse your various water container as often as you wish.


Features

- New Empty Bottles added for: Beer, all Nuka-Cola Bottles, Scotch, all Water Bottles, Vodka, Whiskey, Wine, Sunset Sarsaparilla, Absinthe, Rum & Nuka, Drugged Wine, Dixon's Whiskey, Irradiated Beer/Whiskey/Scotch, Moonshine, Jake Juice
- Receive an empty bottle when drinking any of those drinks
- Bottle water from every source (activators, water surfaces, placable water surfaces)
- Water sources divided into 3 categories: purified/dirty/irradiated water
- Different effect for water in soft/harcore mode: health restore in soft, dehydration restore in hard
- Adjusted radiation damage according to water sources (bottled water was giving too much radiation)
- Menu for water sources with 2 options (bottle/activate)
- Prices adjusted since water is now much more common for the player



Conflicts/Know Issues

- When selecting 'bottling water', the drinking animation will apear when the menu is closed. Currently no idea how to alter this or if its even possible



To-Do List

- Make new textures for the existing bottles and the new ones. Problem is that i have no experience with the creation of (good looking) textures, so if you are interested in providing some, contact me :)
- Possible adding even more container for water, one idea was the creation of water pouches from gecko skin. Problem is here the creation of models/skins for those

At the moment i think the mod is quite complete.
The creation of new textures for all items is in the future for now. Have to learn first how to make good looking textures ;)
The creation of complete new container with custom models is even farther away, since i would have to learn modeling also.
The issue with the drinking animation can not be solved as far as i can see. It seems to be hardcoded, found it not in the geck.

The mod is full functional at the moment, most future additions would be minor or purely cosmetical. So now you can use this mod without fear for major changes :)

Aha...i didn't know that the mod was available already, your download link don't link to the mod...just to Fallout Nexus main page.

The version is no 0.9beta. I think i have nearly all bugs and typos found.
I'm open for future suggestions/improvements of the mod but at the moment it seems to be quite complete.
If anyone finds any bugs and/or typos, please report them to me.

From what I remember of FO3 modding, there were script functions to play and stop playing animations. When the menu is closed, you should be able to try to override the drinking animation with standing still animation or stop the drinking animation through a script.
