A way to add extra effects to weapon mods?

Hello,

I've been playing around with the GECK and was interested in making more weapons mods for the tragically underserved energy weapons.

However, in the weapon edit screen, under mods the mod effect dropdown box has a pretty limited set of possible effects you can bestow (basically the ones present in the game) and I was wondering if there was a way of adding or scripting new effects for this?

Ideally I'd like a weapon mod effect that did extra damage against DT (similar to the AP rounds effect), plus other things like changing the fire rate of the gun (can't remember if you can do that already), increasing/reducing SPECIAL stats (like Power armor does) and other funky things.

Is there any way to do this? I can't seem to find anything in GECK that references the weapon mod effects outside of the weapon edit screen.

Did you try adding an existing effect? I did as a test, doesn't seem to work at all and after hitting goggle found entries stating it did nothing in FO3 also.

Nope. When we get NVSE we might be able to do fancier things with mods, but until then you're basically limited to what's there. If you want your gun to alter stats you'd need to use a new gun with a script on it, if you want your gun to ignore DT you'd need to make a special ammo.
