Something like /zoneoff would be really nice for hiding zone chat. I don't want to have people chatting constantly at the bottom of my screen, but I still want proximity chat to be an option.

There will probably be an add-on for this I would guess. Every other game has chat mods.

I really hope so. Also something where you can set your default chat tab would be nice.

In the last beta weekend I created a new chat channel and filtered out the zone wide and server wide chat. I don't like all the random nonsense pvssyr.
