a way to modify the amount a skill advances?

Ok, I was wondering if there is a way to script (or even MWSE script) the advancement that happens when you use a skill. I am not trying to re-do the entire skill and leveling process, more along the lines of adjusting the amount of percentage points you gain on one use of one of the skilsl.

For example, to try to clairifty: Lets say I want to make is so each time you swing your longsword you only gain 1 point towards long blade. And I don't mean the skill, I mean the percentage of advancement, so you would have to swing your sword 100 times to even get 1 point added to the long blade skill. I don't want to super slow down ALL skills, either. So by my own guess I would have to disable leveling and script in a new system to accomodate what I wanted... right? Or is thier an easier way? Anyone know this?

Open the Character->Skills menu, There you can alter the increase rate for each skill.

Or, you can also change the GMSTs that governs the increase rate for the type of skill it is grouped in (Major, Minor or Misc) which will change the rate for all the skills in that group.

The GMSTs are: fMajorSkillBonus, fMinorSkillBonus, fMiscSkillBonus
The lower the value, the faster you gain skill points.
