I'm level 18 and I've finally decided to head to the greybeards with this character. The only problem is that when I enter high hrothgar they aren't all standing in a circle waiting for me. I have tried so many things to fix this including:
-loading an earlier save
-leaving and sleeping in an inn and walking back up the steps
-leaving sleeping and fast travelling back
-completing a different quest then heading back
-using the setstage command in the console

I'm lost and dont really know what else to do. I want to do the main quest If anybody can offer me any advice or assistance it would be greatly appreciated.

To make things clear first: Did you kill the dragon at Whiterun's West Tower and heard the voice of the greybeards when you entered Whiterun afterwards?

Yes of course.

Specifically the part that I get held up at is when Einarth is supposed to give me his ability to shout "Ro." Because he isn't standing there I can't absorb his skill.

Hmm... One other thing I can think of, did you visit the castle (Dragonsreach)? Where there is some dialogue about the voice of the greybeards. Basically when Jarl Balgruuf sends you out to the greybeards, you'd expect the greybeards to be ready for your arrival. I'd have to get back to an older save perhaps (if I have one, that is) to test it.

While it's not exactly ideal, you can skip the way of the voice. Give yourself 'Whirlwind sprint' (level 1 only) and play with it a little and upgrade your unrelenting force up a level (to 2) and you can head over to Ustengrav and continue the main quest with The Horn of Jurgen Windcaller. You're not missing much - some minor dialogue, some practice with Whirlwind Sprint and that's about it. They direct you to go to Ustengrav in order to prove yourself, from what I recall.

try leaving and then re entering high hrothgar to make him stand up.

SomeRandomName: This is what I was trying to do with the setstage, but when I try to add the Horn of Jurgen quest it simply doesn't add to my journal. Also to finish the Way of the Voice quest i had to use the completequest console command because setstage wasn't working.

This is a bug quite a few people, including me, are experiencing. As was found out in another thread on here, it is a problem with 1.3.10 (vanilla, no mods).
Over on the Nexus forum is also a thread with people that are stuck with this http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/464552-graybeard-bug/ At the end of the thread one guy describes how he got past that quest.

This was reported to Bethesda and I hope it is on their list of bug fixes now.
