Way of the Voice (MQ105) Won't Start

I seem to have found a solution to this problem. see fourth comment for details.

So yeah, not matter what I've tried "Way of the Voice" will not start after killing the first dragon and becoming thane of whiterun. I am currently on my third new game after disabling some mods I thought might be causing this but it's happened again.

The only mod in this list I can think of that might be doing this is "The Choice is Yours" but from the mod page it doesn't seem to edit anything related to the MQ.

Thanks. I actually saw that thread before posting but when I tried what the guy said (from memory, I got it wrong obviously) it didn't work.

Anyway, other than following the instruction correctly this time, I have an idea I need to test of another way that might fix this problem that doesn't involve skipping quest stages. I'll report back (for others that might have this issue) on whether my theory pans out and if it does, the steps I took to fix it.

K I may have actually found an alternative solution to this problem that doesn't involve fiddling with quest stages:

Right so on my last three characters the quest " Way of the Voice (MQ105)" was bugged so that it was not starting after killing the dragon at the watch tower and speaking to the jarl.
The way I seem to have fixed this issue, for now, is to coc to high hrothgar (coc highhrothgar), before killing the dragon (though it might only be necessary to do this before speaking to the jarl), where I find all four greybeards stuck in floor with no clothes on.

Then I just selected them in the console one after another and ran the "resetai" and "resurrect" (no " " in either) commands on each of them. After that (they should all be walking around in their clothes again by now) just coc to somewhere else and continue as normal.

This seems to have worked for me without having to mess around with quest stages and so far the only potential side effect is that the greybeards seem to keel over in the bleed out state when I shout at them or when they teach me a shout. The way I fixed this was to just select the the problematic greybeard in the console and use the "resurrect" command on him so that he is reset. Also I'm really not sure "resetai" is necessary or even advisable, I just wanted to make sure.

On a side note, this method of using resurrect on NPCs that are stuck or bugged has also worked for me when I got stuck doing the sheogorath quest due to him also being stuck in the ground and not responding to me in any way. I reset him and was able to finish the quest without any problems.

P.S. If anyone knows of a good reason not to do what I'm suggesting then please say so 'cause not only would I want to know personally, I also wouldn't want someone to find and use this method if it's dangerous.
