Way too many dragons in the wild!

Post » Tue Dec 06, 2011 7:22 pm

Is it just me or does dragons appear way too often? I mean everytime i fast travel, i can't walk for 2mins without some random dragon roaring over my head, spitting fire in my face.
In my storage chest, i'm at 100+ dragon bone/scale, these supposed rare material are now only junks that weights me down, and most time i didn't even bother to loot them.
Just how many dragons were resurrected? because at this rate, my dragonborn will single-handedly make them extinct again.

How far are you with the main quest? It seems that the further you are, the more dragons there are.

hmm...I did notice an increase of dragon attacks after main quest. Bug perhaps? Point is, the odds of a powerful dragon swoop down you is ridiculously high.

YEs Skyrim has the worst dragon in any game...ever. Way too frequent and way too easy, A bear is harder to kiill... WTF were they thinking? Dragons are supposed to be mythical rare beasts who are hard ti kill, Skyrim has puff the magic dragon. Terrible.

I'm actively hunting them to get souls now. They've been a pushover since the first few I encountered. Stagger should NOT work on dragons.

Actually, bears aren't harder to kill, they go down in three power attacks from my dual skyforge steel swords, whereas dragons take at least 6. The issue with bears is they have more potent physical attacks, whereas dragons have more health. If you use the slow time shout to stop the bear hitting you as much you'll take him out easily and the dragon will take longer.

Your missing the point, they are way too weak, show up way too often. You see a dragon you should fear them, in skyrim it's oh look another weak dragon, what a bore. They are too weak period.

I seem to kill bears in a single sneak attack but can't have the same luck with dragons.

I wouldn't mind better dragons though since even at level 15 I could rip them apart with potion assistance.

SIGH, the IQ lvl on this forum is low.

They are like cliff racers!

Especially around Falkreath and Dawnstar. I ran into two Ancient Dragons at once, just outside the second Dark Brotherhood sanctuary. Took me long time to kill them with light armor and no shield.

Agreed. The high frequencey of dragon appearance is laughable. Dragons just recived a massive resurrection, a chance for them to start anew, but noooo.... let's all suicide charge at dragonborn.

You are aware that this game is about fighting a DRAGON INVASION, right? Hence... a lot of dragons?

I guess they were so proud of their shout system that they just had to make it available to everyone by increasing the amount of dragons... I think there still should be weak dragons but there should be less dragon encounters and dragon size, health, damage and behaviour (some dragons wouldn't land at all for example) should be randomized (races would still have some effect) and there should be huge dragons that are literally impossible to kill and you would have to run away from them.
