Yep. Not a lore buff. Which is why I don't read the lore forum (where lore stuff belongs, hint, hint :whisper: )

It doesn't take a lore buff to know you're not of superior intellect, nextmastermind.

Not our fault that a few writers managed to make half a dozen video games better than almost every mainstream fantasy novel ever written.

I can entirely sympathise with the "you get annoyed with people in the lore forum because of your superior intellect". I am a lore buff at STALKER - Shadow of Chernobyl, pretty much, and it really annoys you when people post totally wrong things :) How sad is that?

Anyway, I imagine it is when you start writing your OWN Oblivion history books.

It does not require a lore buff to know that, all you need is to read the Daggerfall version of the Real Baranzhiah, or just pay an occasional visit to the lore forum.

Anyway, how do you know you are a lore buff? I would say one way is if you know more about the history of Nirn than your own country's history.

If you have extensive knowledge of the Elder Scrolls cosmology AND it actually seems to make sense to you.

You spend hours making up theories on the lore and posting them in the lore forum even though there is a good chance they will be proven wrong when the games actually discuss that subject.

Not our fault that a few writers managed to make half a dozen video games better than almost every mainstream fantasy novel ever written.

That's not saying much, considering that much of main stream fantasy is pretty much exactly like Middle Earth, except not as detailed and well thought-out.

I think it sort of comes with the high IQ needed to actually write good games :D

You know you're a lore buff when you figured out CHIM on your own, from in-game sources. (I know I didn't)

Well generally you'll know because it's what people call you.

If you meet the Lore-Khan on the road, kill him.

Which is also the reason nobody should ever admit to being one.
