Weakness to Poison + Frenzy Poison

Post » Tue Oct 29, 2013 5:41 am

Has anyone tried to drop a high level weakness to poison on a tough enemy and then attempted to drop a frenzy poison on them?

Just curious if this would help make the poison useful at all. The only thing I can see it being useful for at this point is to reverse pick pocket the item onto weaker enemies.

I believe Frenzy poison is most useful if you are not around (ie. away, sneaking).

That way, when they frenzy they attack comrades...

Whereas if you are there, they will attack you. Kind of a waste of a Frenzy potion.

I have only ever delivered Frenzy on the tip of an arrow.

But it's useful only at pretty early levels. As you have noted, high-level opponents are typically not affected.

I think the part in question is...does the WTP increase the or the or both?

See I don't care about duration, I want to know if WTP will decrease the opponents so that in turn it can effect higher level opponents.

It would be nice to drop a max'd out "weakness to Poison" while slowed on an unsuspecting "Chief" perhaps a -65%, and then follow up with a fully buffed (5 pieces of alchemy enchanted gear (rp my lab gear)) and see him go nuts on his weaker buddies.

The alternative is pick pocketing a frenzy potion into a weaker bandit and then popping an invisibility pot.

Found the answer on the UESP: Target is % weaker to poison for seconds.

Weakness to Poison has to be applied prior to a dose of poison for the weakness to take effect. For example, if the enemy is not weakened and you use a poison withWeakness to Poison and damage, the damage will not be affected by the weakness that time but the enemy will be affected in later uses of the poison.

To make your Frenzy poisons work - you need the following: I'll use my character as an example -

Alchemy Skill Level - 50

Alchemist Perk - 3/5

Alchemy Gear (+Alc %) - 75%

1st you make a "Slow Poison" - (Deathbell + Chaurus Eggs + Salt Pile) - with the above it should net you a 35% weaker to poison pot and slow your enemy.

2nd you make a "Fury Poison" - (Falmer Ear + Blisterwort) - This should work on creatures/people level 14 or above for 10 seconds

If the equation works the way I think it does it would be as simple as taking the effective level of 14 (35%) = 4.90 and adding it to the effective level - bringing it up to 18.90 or Level 19+

Since enemies are leveled in Skyrim it should work on anything -/+ 2 levels between my current level 17 character.
