Weapon ammo help

Post » Sat Mar 20, 2010 3:25 am

i am trying to create a 'fun' weapon on the geck, and it is my first try. what i want to do is somehow allow an alternate version of the fatman to use a brahmin/dead brahmin or other npc as the ammunition but i cannot see any way of doing so. is there any way of doing this? any help will be much appreciated

thanks

You want to shoot a brahmin out of a Fatman? That's crazy. You're crazy. Get off the road. :P

Sorry, a bit sleepy :)

You would have to create a new projectile (or edit and change the ID of an existing one) that uses the brahmin mesh as its model. Projectiles are found under Special Effects->Projectiles in the object window, and are different from "Ammunition," as you were specifying. Other than that, I don't know what you're having trouble with.

Wait... are you saying that you want to be able to shoot any given brahmin that you chance upon as the projectile? That would be beyond my knowledge...

this is where i am having the problem, i am having trouble creating a new projectile an i have no means of finding out how to edit one to appear as a brahmin using the brahin mesh, also what i want is to have some kind of brahmin ammo cache in the megaton house rather than picking up and firing random brahmin in the wasteland

If I were doing this, I'd closely examine the way Bethesda did the Rock-It-Launcher. It seems that it is doing something similar to what you want.
