weapon limitations

First of all, I love the game and pre-ordered the digital edition from ZO.

I'm posting here to say that after creating 2 of my many RP characters from other mmo's and the TES series, I was stopped by one thing on character number 3: weapon choice limitation.

There are 2 points here:

1. There are a bazillion skills and skill trees to use, but only so many weapons to play whilst trying to use them and

2. We need more weapons or the option for no weapons (unarmed?) to create the total possible skill combinations. That is to say, I dont want to just wield say, a 2h greatsword, just to be able to play my "Kajiit monk" with sneaky skills, when in reality I want to play him with unarmed and bow/xbow, with a lot of abilities, say from the Earthen Heart Skill line or the Dragon Blood line that could be "monk" like.

Does this make any sense to anyone? I'm not just asking for more weapons, Im also asking for a way to maybe use no weapons or possibly a different weapon just to use more skills in my slots versus weapon abilities.

I'm probably insane. What do you guys think?

If by that you mean add spear weapons and unarmed combat support then I agree. (Maybe crossbows too?)

I don't like the idea of unarmed combat. It doesn't seem.. fitting?

I'm all for new weapons though.

More variety in weapon skill lines would be nice. I'd love to have single one-handed weapon, unarmed combat and crossbow myself.
