I'm on level 29 and I recently picked up an automatic laser pistol with the "additional projectile" attribute off of a Legendary Super Mutant. Was planning to modify it to the maximum aesthetic look for a laser rifle and name it "Nora" after the male protagonist's wife (I'm still doing a male protagonist play through after all). Granted he was in the Army and not the Marines, where that particular tradition is followed, but I feel like it makes SOME sense especially considering when there was an R91 Assault Rifle in FO3 that was named "Laura" that was cut from the final version of the game -- implying that it belonged to a jar head or grunt who named his gun after his lover or his mother. (Maybe they were going to make a backstory parody of Urkel who used his genius to make his American assault rifle as powerful and large bore of ammunition as the best Chinese assault rifles, thereby naming it after his beloved Laura? Who knows?)

lol Yeah, that'd definitely make for a good list of troll names for weapons.

The names i give my weapons and armor are all quite uninteresting as they are just for utility purposes to keep them at the top of my inventory.

Example:

00-HCA-CP-UlLtPly-15%SM = Heavy combat armor chest piece with ultra light and polymer mods on a legendary negating 15% of Super mutant damage.

I named my combat shotgun (an upgrade from the double-barreled shotgun, it seems) "Ghoul's Bane", as that is my weapon of choice when a mob of Ghouls come my way. But beyond that, I haven't named any other weapons.

Gun, Bigger Gun, Really Huge Gun and Gun That Makes Things Go Boom.

Works for me.

I never name my weapons. Just not that attached to them.

I've just named my better weapon with the name of my girl. Others are just Mosca's Ripper, Mosca's Gatling Gun... my nickname =)

I put an asterisk and use all capitals when I rename my legendary weapons so I don't sell them by accident when I'm stoned off Nyquil.

Friendly word of advice. Use a space for the first character of a weapon's name. That puts all your named weapons together at the top of the list and makes them easy to find after a looting frenzy and you want to switch weapons.
