In the one of the houses, the one I'm sure most everyone has or is working on getting, there is a bookshelf where you can stack/organize your books. There is also a weapons rack to the right of it. It looks as though you should be able to display two weapons but it gives me no such option. Should I be able to put a sword on there or am I just imagining things? I'm on a 360, I don't know if that will make any difference.

Equip the weapon you want to display, then select the rack. Your equipped weapon will appear on the rack.

On the rack on the first floor? Nothing seems to happen.

Yep. Nothing. Again, I'm talking about the racks to the right of the bookshelf. Is that not a weapons rack? It looks like it should hold two weapons.

1) Equip weapon you want in the rack.
2) Pull weapon you want in the rack out (ie, get it ready to attack with).
3) Interact with weapon rack.

It actually tells you to do this when you click on it btw =P

There are some posts in the xbox issues subforum that point out the racks and wall plaques dont work, most likely bugged.

lol..i know its just that it doesn't work in my house in whiterun..and u don't have to pull it out, just equip it..


I just bought the house in Riften and racks and plaques work fine there. Just in Whiterun the problem is

Yay! It appears that Bethesda heard my prayers for this! Interacting with racks and bookshelves in Oblivion made me very close to homicidal.

Double check that yours work.

Ya my rack in the Markarth house cannot be activated along with my mannequin

Ugh. This is REALLY bad news. I was hoping it was just in Whiterun. Here's to hoping Bethesda addresses this issue, along with hand-placed items in houses moving all over the place.
