Hello, Im not sure if this is the correct place for this, but it is the official skyrim forum. I seem to have found a small bug with weapon stats. Ill bring up my menu, and say I have a steel war axe equipped. When I look at the weapon, which is already equipped, it shows a 12 +2. If I reequip , it doesnt go to 14, the + just dissappears. Here is a link to a picture of another person having a similar issue;

As you can see, he already has the item equipped, yet there is still a + there, for no apparent reason. Im assuming this is a bug, unless there is something I am overlooking. If anyone has any ideas, Id be glad to hear (see) them.

Perhaps a spell or potion effect?

Its because you have got better in weapon skill or you have taken some perks what increase your damage, it is probably a bug but i dont think that they will fix it. You just need to remember to check your weapon sometimes.

that would make sense if the number next to the + sign actually went into effect upon being equipped...it doesnt make sense to me...there shouldnt be a plus or minus on anything thats already equipped. Should only be a reference when looking/choosing to equip other things

It does this to me too. I think it is giving a damage estimate as if you were going to duel wield the existing weapon with te highlighted weapon.
